What do you eat when you have a headache?
When I have a migraine or any headache, I used to go straight for paracetamol or Gebedol extra, they're all pain killers but my grandmother always warned me about the side effects of it. And my mom will add her opinions to it and basically rebuke me for using the pain killers.
They're very traditional ladies and I respect that about them. But at some times taking actual pills is necessary. However the point they were trying to make is that you can't be taking aspirins or painkillers every single time you feel pain. There are actual foods you can eat and you'll be relieved of the pain you're feeling. Do you have any go to food for migraine?
Anyone can suggest it in the comments section and I'll take the advice.
I would joke and tell my mom I want fries with coke or malt and she'll tell me I'm not sick am I? Like I'm not serious. A headache and I want to be pampered like that. She wants me to be a strong woman at all costs. But seriously, I get a can of coke the taste alone will reduce the pain a little, especially if it's chilled. I'm not exactly addicted to coke but I train myself to have not more than one per week.
But if I had hamburgers too I would love it. I barely get the fast foods because if you're living in a house with traditional and cultural women, prepare to get used to real home made meals which were around decades before your parents were even born. But one time I tried using sweet tea and it helped. I don't know if the food I'm mentioning are remedies or just an excuse for me to enjoy myself. But if I don't have sweet tea, I'll go with coffee but also not that often because coffee and the caffeine inside can easily make me stay awake. I try to eat something heavy too just so I'll feel sleepy and sleep the headache off. Because regardless, if you give your brain rest, it'll be healthier.
