It's a privilege to join this contest again this week. At a time I'd thought I wouldn't join but after some search of acrylic paint, I summoned up the courage to try using my water colour and guess what? my expectations were met. I wasn't disappointed at all.

Oh I am begining to love painting, and I tell you, its creativity, its fun, its magical. You just can't let it stop, when you start.

So with today's assignment, I had to use my imagination and let it flow. I painted a mountain where the sun had already gone down. I just wanted to do something different.

Let's get down to my work!

My first step was to sketch out the mountain part. I used a pencil and a ruler to rule the parts of the mountain including it's shape.

After ruling out the mountain, I started my painting proper. I used my painting brush to paint the mountain black. I needed it to be all black so I had it done with my black colour.

So since we all know that “When the sun begins to go down, the sky often holds on to that soft orange glow.” Yes, so I decided to make that way. I started with a red color for the top and then gradually begin to go in with yellow and more red to get that orange touch.

I continued this process until I got the perfect touch I desired.

Next, I added the sun at it's spot because it was going down and so it should be a bit down close to the mountain.

I proceeded to drawing some little birds that are retiring from their daily hustle.

I also painted a tree by the coner of the mountain. Of course that is where the birds are resting so they should have a home to themselves.

After the final touches,, here comes my final presentation.

You can see the beauty of nature right here!

Do you face any difficulty for finding painting 🖌️ 🎨 materials for the task??

Oh yes, I had a tough time searching for acrylic paint. I walked a distance and then I couldn't find but where I finally saw the paint, I was told they sell it by liter and I wondered what I would be doing with a liter of paint and the price was out of the blues.

I quietly walked home and thought of how it would be to try using my water colour, well, I wasn't led down. It may not be as perfect or smooth as the acrylic paint, but I am sure it did something interesting. I love the outcome.

Do you have any past experience for painting from acrylic paints???

Well, I have never painted using acrylic paints, but I have or had using water colors. My experience using water colour was great, although I didn't get the perfect spark and shiny texture I needed just like using acrylic, but it was great.

I feel either water color or acrylic, has it's purpose. They just have where they are good and best used. In today's work, my experience was great, amazing, creative and fun. I was swimming in imagination and I was brightened when I saw the outlook. It wasn't as easy as thought, and yet it wasn't as difficult as thought.

I invite my friends; @aviral123 @nancy0 @dove11 to try participating in this painting class.

This painting beautifully reflects the calm moment after sunset, when the sky still holds warmth but night slowly takes over. The mountain stands strong and silent, creating a powerful contrast with the fading glow. Your work expresses serenity and quiet strength in such a touching way.
