Living in the Agricultural World
Hello friend's
What are the most commonly cultured fish species (e.g, salmon, tilapia, shrimp ) write in your own words. |
---|
Tilapia is common name for nearly a hundred species of cichlid fish from the coelotilapine, coptodonine, heyerotilapine, pelmatolapine, oreochromine, and tilapline tribes formerly all were "tilapiini" with the economically most important species placed in the coptodonine and oreochromini. Tilapia are mainly freshwater fish inhabiting shallow stream, pond, rivers, and lakes, and less commonly found living blackish water. Historically, they have been major importance in artisanal fishing in Africa, and they are increasing importance in aquaculture and aquaponics. Tilapia can become a problematic invasive species in new warm water habitats such as Australia, weather deliberately or accidentally introduce, but generally not in temperates climate due to their inability to survive in in cold water.
How do different species requirements impact aquaculture operation (e.g, water temperature, feed)? Explain with example. |
---|
Aquaculture animals are strongly affected by temperature, and aquaculture production must often be time to correspond to water temperature, particularly in outdoor operation. The atom and molecules of a mass of matter to which energy is added vibrate faster and move slightly farther apart. The heat content of matter is a result of energy of the movement of atom and molecules.
What are the challenges and opportunities in cultural in culturing non traditional species (e.g; seaweed, shellfish)? |
---|
Emphasis the environmental benefits, domesticated a variety of local species, and diversity seaweed products for food animal feed, phycocolloids, cosmeceutical, nutraceutical, and ultimately biofuel if it becomes economically viability due to the cost of production. The exclusive economic zones of united state offer opportunities for expansion of seaweed aquaculture in an area greater than the entire land mass of the united state and limited user conflicts. This study review the past and current status of seaweed aquaculture in the united state and discusses potential opportunities and challenge of open water seaweed aquaculture.
I here by mention @anthony002 @ahmneska @ninapenda to participate in this contest.
