Rice is just a legendary crop

I just can't imagine how rice has existed as a staple food for thousands of years. This is certainly one of the oldest food we know as a civilization. There's actual Archaeological evidence that shows that rice was around in China as far back as 8000 BC and up to 10,000 BC to 7000 BC in the Yangtze basin. I've never visited China but I know and the world knows that rice and fish are integral parts of China's food culture.

You can think of just how important rice was to many early societies who were just starting out in farming, preserving food as well as establishing permanent settlements.

Although this information might look trivial to you, a bowl of rice at your kitchen table, rice in bags at the market, a family cooking a simple rice dish, all of those things are related to this ancient pathway of food and its historical importance.

In China, rice was able to grow in wet river valley land because of plenty of water and mud, but doing so would later allow rice to expand throughout Southeast Asia, becoming a primary staple food for billions of people throughout the world, and it will continue to be a primary staple worldwide because it is the quickest, cheapest option for families throughout the world and it goes so well with a variety of different types of food like fish, eggs, beans, soup, salt. I personally can eat almost anything else with rice, even if it's just oil rice and coke.

One thing I always say is a small bowl of rice can go far. It's the one food I can eat everyday for a year. Yes I would get tired but not that easily.
