SEC-S30W3: The things I am thankful for
Hello friends,
It's been a long time here. My blog hasn't been busy with my usual conventional style of posting aside from the ongoing contest publications I make weekly. It's nice to try to start up this path again.
There are numerous things that we should be grateful for. Since we are not superhumans, we mostly fall under unforeseen situations. It is important that we become not just grateful but thankful in all things as we interact with our environment daily.
Firstly, I must be grateful for the gift of life and good health. Most of the time, we underestimate the importance and opportunity of sleeping every night and waking up to our daily activities [in a sound mind and health]. Most of the time, this is very much underestimated not until we visit the clinics, hospitals, or diagnostic centres.
Lately, I visited a diagnostic center and I was amazed by the crowd therein. At first, it put me off because of the unimaginable number of people I met on the ground. And this diagnostic centre is just one, out of many within the city. I think your guess is as good as mine, wondering why I visited this centre.
I was also referred to do an X-ray of my limb by the physiotherapist. For some time now, I have been handling a concern that has to do with my ankle after my usual weekly exercise. This started with a knee inflammation which subsided after a few days and then with inflamed ankles on both legs.
This issue has continued despite the first aid treatment taken after a couple of weeks, which warranted a few diagnoses and then an X-ray. It has been traumatising handling this concern at first because of the fear of the unknown not until after all diagnoses were done with nothing to hold on to other than the anticipated tissue/muscle tear and strain.
It was clear to me that what actually kills a man isn’t just the ailment but the psychological trauma that emanates from the ailment. It kills even faster than I thought. There was nothing I didn't think of during the waiting period. It was indeed a sleepless moment for the days I had to wait just to pick up the result from the diagnostic centre.
The only one basic thing I think that everyone holds in common is being grateful for life that comes from sound health. This cannot be overemphasized or overstated in any context. You can only know how deeply grateful you become when you're either the victim or in the midst of those with health conditions.
Secondly, I am most grateful to my family. The only constituent that remains unchanged despite challenges and issues in life. The love of family stands the test of time. When it is broken, the entire system is distorted and the pattern is seen to change and destinies are thwarted. I am privileged to have a well-bonded family.

Family here for me includes both nuclear and extended. I cannot deny the fact that the affection from parents and siblings is undiluted. When this is observed to rob off on the immediate family bonding, then be assured of reaping peace, love, prosperity, and success all the time.
To be intentional about this, we have to promote actions that bring about bonding and lasting peace. Building memories that create continuity and happy moments should be the watchword. In all of this, always endeavour to uphold happiness in all situations.
In all, we have to be grateful for all we do. By reason of still living, it is enough to be grateful and thankful to our creator. I am always grateful for every day that comes and goes without challenges and emergencies beyond our control.
Thank you, friends for reading...
I hope to see your participation also @hisgeneral, @annydee01, and @freshgrace.

Hi, @xkool24
It's a pleasure to see that you've accepted my challenge, welcome! Here is your evaluation:
Despite the circumstances, you are fortunate to have a close-knit family. I understand why you feel grateful.
Sorry sir, get well soon. surly family is everything they'll always have your back in times of weakness and strength. Above all, I am grateful to God for the gift of life and health.
I'm glad you're getting better! Most of us don't realize that health is wealth until it's threatened. Having a loving family in this loveless world is a true blessing. May you continue to enjoy the peace and unity in your family. Success!
Thanks for your warm response.
Indeed we just have to be grateful in all...
