I consider that minimal or zero tillage practice relevance is very high for the sustainable agriculture particularly in the rainfed and degraded land areas where soil erosion is a big threat. Besides the maintenance of fertility, this method contributes to moisture retention and to the survival of soil microorganisms which, as is well known, are very beneficial for plants.
