What do I love more about my country?
Nigeria is really a blessed country, because we are the called the "Giant of Africa" for nothing, we are special in so many ways. What I love most about my country is our traditional food (Egusi and Garri). It's somewhat strange right? lolz, but that's the truth maybe because I eat alot.
The truth remains if I leave this country, what I would miss more apart from my family and friends, is our traditional food, especially Egusi and Garri.
Why do you love it?
The big question would be why did I choose food instead of other material things? I would have said something else like mountains, houses, or even character, but I choose this because it's the truth, reason been that, First of all I love food alot, and the traditional food I love best is Egusi and Garri, the facts remains that this delicious traditional food is a Nigerian food and it will be difficult to find it anywhere else in the world.
Have I ever eaten this Delicious meal (Egusi and Garri)
Yeah I have eaten this meal countless number of times, but I still haven't gotten tired of eating it because it just has a way of bring happiness to me anytime I eat it, and that is the more reason I love it.
Here are the basic steps one can follow to prepare this meal?
Follow this steps simultaneously (my special way of preparing it)
- put the empty pot on the fire
- put 5 tablespoon of palm oil inside the pot
- after that you will put your main sauce which is the grinded melon seed.
- Now, put your ingredients on frying oil which includes: salt, pepper, maggi, onion, fish, meat, and anything else to make meal more good.
- then add about 4 cups of water and leave it to boil for sometime
- after leaving it to boil, add any vegetable you desire to include in your meal, stir it and then cover your pot and leave it for sometime in the fire for like 3 minutes and drop it down.
To prepare your Garri, Just put some quantity of water on the fire and leave it to boil.
After which you bring your cassava flour, and mix it together with the boiled water.
Is this in the entire country or only in some cities?
Yeah everyone in Nigeria love this meal, because it's our local delicious traditional meal.
All the major tribes in Nigeria (Igbos, Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw etc, eat this meal. come to any part of my country and ask for Egusi soup and Garri and BOOM♨️ you would be served.
Do most of the people in my country love it?
Who wouldn't love it, "omg" would be the first word from anyone who taste a well prepared Egusi soup and Garri meal for the first time. I believe 80% of Nigerians love this meal alot.
Do you know what the tourists think about it?
Trust me when I tell you that foreigners that visits this country from diaspora and were opportuned to taste this our traditional meal will definitely fall in love with it.
Can you enjoy it all year long?
Omg I don't mind eating this delicious meal all year long, more especially because it is my favorite meal.
