RE: What are you thinking of before falling asleep?
I'll have to check out that podcast. I find a lot of Wayne Dyer's suggestions to be very beneficial. I have sleeping issues for most of my life. Since I made a small transition in the past few months, things have improved, but it's still bad by most opinions. I honestly try not to think before I sleep. In those past few months, I have added a gratitude before I go to bed which I believe has helped.
Wonderful post @vincentnijman
Interestingly, I had a lot of trouble falling asleep, yesterday night ( after writing this ), for explainable reasons though. I have tried all kind of things to sleep better but I need one thing: "silence". If that isn't there, things get tough. Less screen staring in the night and not eating too much and quitting my food intake several hours before sleep are important too.
Is the transition you've made merely the gratitude or did you add other things to your bedtime routine?
I listened to a couple of episodes on Sleep from this podcas too. You might like it: "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Health ( by Mark Bunn )
I hope you keep improving your sleep. Sleep is underrated and very important for both mental and physical health.
