THE DIARY GAME: MONDAY, JANUARY 30, 2023 (ATTENDING A MEETING AND LAB WORK)

in AMAZING GHANAlast year

Hello fellow Steemians

This post serves as a journal of my Monday's activities, and I'm happy to share it with my friends because I enjoy reading their insightful and well-written entries as well.
Due to the stress of the previous day, I was unable to wake up on my own strength as usual. Instead, I had to rely on the grace of the Almighty God and my alarm clock. At precisely 6:00 a.m., my alarm clock woke me up, and I got out of bed, said my morning prayers, went outside to brush my teeth, and then went inside to feed my animals. It takes a long time to feed my animals since I have to gather the rice chaff, add flour, salt, and water, then dish it to each animal in a separate bowl.
I finished feeding my animals and walked inside to iron my clothing before going to take my bath and have breakfast in that order, and set off for work.
I got to work at 7:05AM, opened my work unit and cleaned and disinfected the workspace, including the machines, benches, and refrigerators, to remove any dust-borne germs that might be pollutants. After disinfection, I began drying the media plates that would be used for streaking in an oven after they had been prepared and kept in a refrigerator. I arrived there quite early because I had a meeting to attend at 8:30AM somewhere other than my place of employment. When I was done with the first batch of my daily morning lab activities, my friend and myself went to the roadside and chattered a tricycle to the meeting venue.

We got to the venue some minutes late, so we went inside the hall where the meet was going on and registered our names to show our presence and took our seats and participated in the meeting. The meeting took about two hours to come to and end after we have had all the necessary activities or program outline accomplished. Some of the activities included reading of manifestos by executive aspirants and election of our leaders.

The meeting came to an end at around 2pm, so we departed to our workplaces though others went home after the meeting. On our way to the office, we decided to buy some food (fried yam) from the roadside since we were given no refreshment at the meeting. We bought the food and went to the workplace and ate, rested a little, and set back to work.

When we entered the office, a lot work was ongoing there such as DNA extraction, sub-culturing of colonies and many others, so what my colleague and I could do at that time was to prepare some chocolate media to be used the following day which we did. After were done with that, helped the other members in the DNA extraction, my role there was to record the concentration of the DNA after the extraction was all done, so I recorded the values and everything was well done bring the DNA 🧬 extraction to an end.

After the extraction, we needed to distill some water but the distiller was faulty so we had to work on it before we started. It was well fixed and cleaned but due to time, we couldn’t distill the water but had to do that the following day, which brought my activities at workplace to an end so I logged out and went home. When I got home, I took my bath, food was served so I ate and rested for a while, bringing my overall activities of the day to an end and I called it a day.
