THE DIARY GAME: TUESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2023 (USUAL HOME ROUTINE AND LAB WORK)

in AMAZING GHANAlast year

Hallo, my fellow Steemians!

By the grace of God Almighty, I pray that everyone is healthy and living. We are grateful to him for giving us life and good health. I'm happy to make this piece available to you all since I enjoy reading your insightful and well-written comments. It serves as a record of the things I did on Tuesday. Actually, I had a frustrating and challenging day that concluded with a heavy heart and feelings of pity.
I had a lot of tiresome and time-consuming tasks to complete, so I got up early, took care of my regular chores at home, and then headed to work. I arrived there at around 6:45 AM, so I performed my normal morning activities that included disinfection of work surfaces and machines, drying of media, after which I labeled them and set the place for work to begin. In the course of the work, my colleagues and myself were called by one of the bosses of the center to assist him with some work which involved rearrangement of the computers and other electronic components in the data entry room. We assisted him in doing that and everything was all set. He further assigned us to a different room to do some cleaning by bring out all empty boxes and rearranging the valuable ones. The place was so dusty that we had to dress in protective clothes to prevent our bodies and dresses from becoming dirty and also from contracting polluted substances.

During the cleaning

We made sure we did the right work as instructed by our boss. It took us to more than two hours to finish up with everything.
When we had finished with the cleaning, we were tired so we took some rest before we continued with our usual laboratory duties.

Taking some rest

We rested for only 30 minutes before we returned to our various units to assist in the lab activities. When I got back to my unit, I assisted them in performing some activities which included vortexing of samples, staining of slides for microscopy, recording of results, storing of samples, and several other activities.

Staining slides

After we had finished staining the slides, we allowed them to air-dry before we gave them to our boss to examine them under the microscope. Those organisms that passed the test were then harvested and their DNAs extracted and stored for storage and shipment. The work benches were disinfected again and everything kept in order before I left for home, bringing my lab activities to an end.

On my way home, I got to a particular place in my neighborhood then I heard people cry, raising their voices but I hardly heard what they were saying or what the noise was about because I was a distance far from the location, so I approached the place all to realize a compound house was on fire. Lot of people were there but they were scared to help in bringing off the fire, so all the I could was to support the few people that helping to quench the fire. We tried so seriously to the extent that by the time National Fire Service had gotten there, everything was brought to control. It was very serious to the extent that the victims lost all their properties and even sustained severe burnt (Let’s hope they get better).

This is what transpired on this particular day, ending my day in such a way that I had no appetite for food when I got home. Instead, I took a bath, lain in bed for a while, and eventually fell asleep. It genuinely left me feeling sorry and sympathetic in my heart.

Please, my fellow Ghanaians, dial 192 to contact the Ghana National Fire Service in such an emergency.
I appreciate everyone reading this.

Thank you very much

You have been doing amazingly well in sharing your content with us. It is rather unfortunate that those individuals have to sustain severe injuries because of the fire. I am also happy for fact that the fires service team were able to bring it under control .

Thanks for sharing

They actually came late though

Yeah, that's the country we are in.
