Burglary in the 16th arrondissement of Paris! Loss of 50,000 euros

According to the Parisian newspaper, the incident occurred at 10:00 a.m. on the 17th, three young men aged 18 to 20 years old falsely claiming to be delivery men knocked on the door of an apartment on rue Benjamin-Franklin in the 16th district of Paris. The owner was not at home at the time and the 49-year-old maid opened the door.

As soon as the door opened, three masked and gloved criminals pushed the maid into the room and closed the door. One of them held a gun to the maid's temple, two accomplices took out rope and other tools, tied the maid's hands and feet, and also used a sock to stuff the maid's mouth to prevent her from shouting.

The young man with the gun kept a gun on the maid to guard her, while the other two ransacked the apartment. After the "mission" was completed, they locked the maid in the bathroom, covered her head with a jacket, and fled.

The maid managed to break free and emerged from the bathroom and immediately went to the doorman, who called security personnel. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found the maid unharmed but in shock.

Police officers from the 16th arrondissement of Paris, investigators from the 1st Judicial Police District of Paris and experts from the Technical Center for Forensics came to the scene and carried out a search.

The head of the household drew up a list of lost property. It is reported that the wrongdoers took a Rolex watch worth 15,000 euros, jewelry worth 25,000 euros, as well as Montblanc pens, Chanel and Dior handbags, the amount of loss is about 50,000 euros.

The Paris prosecutor's office entrusted the Paris 1st Judicial Police District with the investigation within the framework of burglary and unlawful detention. The police analyzed the evidence collected at the scene, took statements from neighbors, accessed video surveillance footage from the street and the lobby of the apartment building, and are actively searching for the perpetrators.
