Former police officer and law graduate forms prostitution network in Paris

In 2016, Paris police dismantled a prostitution organization in which there were more than a dozen sex workers. 34-year-old Edouard was accused of being the leader of the illegal organization. He is currently awaiting trial.

According to Le Parisien, Edouard, a 34-year-old, muscular man, set up prostitution networks in apartments in Ajaccio (Corse), Nice (Alpes-Maritimes), and Paris.

Now, the blond suspect hopes to regain his freedom. He plans to give judo lessons to children in Nanterre, Hauts-de-Seine, find work and bring his wife and son to France.

But in early March, he had been identified as a danger. In his defense, Edouard said, "Everything was going too well for me. Then, I made a mistake. I wanted to integrate into France and I must stress that I never committed violence against anyone."

In August 2016, Corsican police discovered this network of prostitution formed by Moldovans. Customers made appointments to gain access to designated apartments. The steady stream of customers caused concern among surrounding residents. The pimps were subsequently arrested by the police.

The suspects spent a brief period in Nice before settling in Paris. One suspect advertised on the Vivastreet website that more than a dozen girls were working as prostitutes in an apartment on Airbnb. Customer phone operators handled the booking process, and the sex workers were unified under a bodyguard.

According to insiders, one sex worker said in a survey that the girls were fighting for about 1,500 euros a month. The bodyguards are paid 1,300 euros a month. This criminal network can fight for 1,000 euros per day. Half of the income is sent to Edward, who lives in Russia. Eduard has a garage in Moldova and a bar in Moscow. Sometimes, he comes to France to consolidate his "position". During the week, his men take care of everything.

Edward's man is married and is the father of an 8-year-old boy. He graduated from the Moldovan Police Academy, where he worked as a police officer. After two years, he moved to Russia. In Russia, he earned a law degree through five years of study and plans to become a lawyer.

A retired law enforcement officer said that around 1980, in France, there were several police officers who fell into prostitution organizations, they were bewitched by the girls and they got sex and money. But this time, it was a different kind of case ......

In 2016, on August 23, seven suspects of this prostitution organization were arrested by the police, including the leader of the criminal gang who came to Paris to verify the accounts. All the suspects except the criminal gang leader confessed to the crime. But the ringleader's lies continued. In front of investigators, he claimed that he came to France to buy apartments for sex workers. But in the subsequent investigation, he admitted to being the head of the criminal network. During the search, the police found several cell phones, "transfer cards" for money transfers to Moldova.

His lawyer, Me Marion Furic, believes that the investigation of the case is now closed. The lawyer said that her client is learning French in prison and wants to settle in France. If her client is sentenced to prison, he will face double punishment because he is not French.

However, the prosecution did not take the lawyer's opinion, which argued that he was engaged in organized prostitution and was very dangerous. There was evidence that he was employing minors in Russia to work as prostitutes.
