Laughter is the best medicine, so they say, and two years stranded abroad in Suriname means we have to get creative to evoke laughter and smiles, no matter the circumstances.

A little imagination, creativity, ingenuity, fortitude, and especially a good sense of humor have seen us through thus far, so we have no reason to doubt our resolve to get to better circumstances one day. After spending nearly three years acquiring paperwork, last night I was able to finish the last and final I-130 Petition For Alien Relative form, the first of many more steps to come should we advance to the next stage.

SUPERPOWERS | FARTING & HIGH KICKS
The filing fee for each form was $535.00 USD, multiply that by three and you get $1,605.00 USD, the amount we lost with a few quick clicks, representing nearly a half a year in HIVE earnings. This all got me feeling like one delirious Dad, so I decided I needed to blow off some steam and have some laughs with the family. I decided to make a hero/villain themed shoot.

SUPERPOWERS | SLICING & HAVING MINI STROKES
Unsure if Maniacal Mom is a heroine or villain, she posed for some pictures to demonstrate the capabilities of her power suit. I told her I just spent $1600+ and she had a mini-stroke during this shoot, and I was lucky enough to catch a shot of it. Looking like Kali with a garland of skulls, Maniacal Mom proudly displays the bananas of whose souls she's taken in a potassium-laced rage.
🐵 MAD MONKEY-B 😠
SUPERPOWERS | POTASSIUM DEFLECTION & EATING
Mad Monkey-B was able to steal the banana garland from Maniacal Mom, manifesting the power of potassium deflection. With the aid of a broken jump-rope handle, I mean Ionic Soy-Sauce Warp Phazer, she is able to zap herself in the head at the end of a meal, allowing her to eat a little more, which some have said is no superpower at all, but I dare to disagree.
🦹 SADISTIC SREY-YUU 😜
SUPERPOWERS | X-RAY VISION & DISINTEREST
The most twisted heroine south of Guyana, Sadistic Srey-Yuu possesses the power of X-ray vision via her wicked bifocals. Rumor has it she is only able to see through banana peels, but when confronted with this line of questioning, she uses her powers of disinterest to change the subject and talk about her rad red yo-yo instead.
⚔️ ATTACK! 🔫
With my back turned only for a split second, these two managed to get themselves stuck in a good ole' Mexican Standoff. Neither side wanted cede any territory nor trusted the other to disarm first.
Not knowing how to handle the situation, I told Sadistic Srey-Yuu to look through Mad Monkey-B's bananas, and I told Mad Monkey-B to just deflect all the potassium she could towards Sadistic Srey-Yuu, and perhaps this will lead to a truce.
Far from a truce, a peace treaty was signed, allowing us to end this Mexican standoff and get back to saving the blockchain from all threats, foreign and domestic. Time will tell how long the Great Peace Treaty of Pisangrodjostraat will last, but let's give thanks for an end to this insanity.
