Film Review: 'The Traitor'

in LifeStyle4 years ago

The name of the film is "Traitor". But I don't think Samir betrayed America. As Clayton said, "This country owes you a lot." . Samir did pay a high price for blurring his identity and beliefs for the sake of this country. Some might say he saved his life in the end. Yes, he saved his life. But was it a gift to him? Was it right for him to lose his life? Well, here's some of it.
It's not that he betrayed America, that is, he betrayed his Muslim heritage, yes. But in fact, it is not. He was a devout Muslim. Even his faith seemed to be stronger and purer than anyone else's. Finally, he told his Muslim brother Omar that they had betrayed the Muslims, they had used you, they had used me, they had used them, they had used our faith. So he thought he was devoting himself piously to his religion of Islam.
Perhaps, in fact, Samir's moral dilemma is not that he is a devout Muslim, but that the United States serves in secret to defend the security of all mankind. He was believing in himself. Samir said, "The Qur'an says, 'When you kill an innocent man, you kill the whole of humanity.'" . Clare added: "The Qur'an says, 'When you save the life of one person, you save the whole of mankind. What Samir said is supposed to be true in the Qur'an. But what Clare said is not true. Does the Qur'an say so? But if the former was correct, then the latter view might be correct. So he became confused.
Samir had killed many people for the sake of his faith and his country. For just ends, but the means were indeed unjust. So we (both the people in the film and in real life, which I'm beginning to wonder if we are), so does it make sense to stick to an area like this called war to end war?
Right. In the end, he didn't betray the country, or it. He seems to have betrayed himself. Although he was free, his past records on the computer were gone, but he was becoming freer and freer. The endless war was calling him again. He is helpless. We are helpless too.
Where there are people, there is war. The war never stops, never ends. The humorous humour of what Omar says is fascinating. Americans used to be terrorists too. But today everyone has forgotten. Now, America has become a victim of terrorism. It is therefore not difficult to understand why today the so-called terrorists are ready to wage war. What they do is that one day their people will be able to take the names of terrorists as victims of terrorism, just like the terrorists. This shows that the war on terror and the war on terror have a long-term cause.
Since there is a war, there must be victims. It could be other people or it could be us. It could be life, or it could be faith. What is more frightening is the mind. How about a man of conscience like Samir, whose hands are stained with the blood of so many people? Can his heart be at peace? Could his mind possibly be free? Although he did not die, he almost did.
Martin Ruud Kim once said, Samir said, that if a man does not find what he is willing to die for, he should not live. But not finding a reason to die is not a reason not to die. Is there no reason to live? Most of the time, you will find no reason to die. That doesn't mean you have a reason to live. That statement may change later. If a man does not find something he wants to die for, he will live to lose.
It's hard to live, it's hard to live. But living is even harder to live. If it's lost.
