I am pleased with your words, but you will probably be surprised by the fact that I did not use watercolor paint and brushes.
It's not even a painting, it's a photograph taken with a homemade monocle lens. I've only slightly changed the color scheme.

Are you kidding me wow, what kind of camera did you use is it a dslr or mirrorless camera. Please I would love to see the lens if you don’t mind, I have a camera although I make use of 50mm lens when taking professional photo portraits. Wow Good to know.
Externally, this is an ordinary zoom lens. But I took out all the stuffing (electronics, lens blocks) and left only one glass. I got a monocle. Focusing is done by a zoom mechanism. I have saved the diaphragm, but it has no external control (it was originally electronic). I just fixed the diaphragm in one position, close to the open diaphragm.
This monocle is mounted on a SONY A7M4 camera.
Внешне это обычный зум-объектив. Но вынул из него всю начинку Электронику, линзоблоки) и оставил только одно стекло. У меня получился монокль. Фокусировка осуществляется за счёт зум-механизма. Диафрагму я сохранил, но она не имеет внешнего управления (изначально оно было электронным). Я просто зафиксировал диафрагму в одном положении, близком к открытой диафрагме.
Этот монокль стоит на камере SONY А7М4.
Wow I got really scared when I saw the lens broken not until I read that you took some of the glasses off, I am pretty sure this isn’t the only lens you have got. I love your bravely 😂😂😂i only have one lens for now and I am not sure I will try this ahahahahhahaha.
Of course, I have more than one monocle. I do not even know how many lenses I have in total, taking into account all the redesigned ones.
There's an easier way to get a monocle, if that's what you're interested in. You need to take a lens from an old slide projector or a film microscope. It has one or two lenses, there is no diaphragm at all - it's just a tube with one glass at the end.
You need an adapter for your camera and a second tube into which you will insert the lens tube. The other end is simply attached to the adapter.
And that's it. You have a monocle. By moving the lens forward/backward, you change the focal length.
By the way, you mentioned portrait photography. You can get a great tool for artistic portraiture. A very soft picture :)
And you can find a projector lens at any flea market.

Конечно, у меня не один монокль. Я даже не знаю, сколько всего линз у меня с учётом всех переделанных.
Есть более простой путь получить монокль, если тебе это интересно. Нужно взять объектив от старого слайд проектора или фильмоскопа. В нём одна или две линзы, совсем нет диафрагмы - это просто трубка с одним стеклом на конце.
Тебе нужен переходник на твою камеру и вторая трубка, в которую ты вставишь трубку объектива. Второй конец просто крепишь в переходнику.
И это всё. У тебя есть монокль. Двигая линзу вперёд/назад ты меняешь фокусное расстояние.
Кстати, ты упоминал портретную съёмку. Можешь получить великолепный инструмент для художественного портрета. Очень мягкая картинка :)
А объектив от проектора ты можешь найти на любом блошином рынке.
