Using a long shutter speed / Использование длинной выдержки
Photographing at long exposure can be an interesting artistic technique.
The bottom line is that you will need a zoom lens and possibly a dimming filter.
But that's if you're shooting during the day when there's a lot of light.
In the evening, at night or indoors, the existing illumination is almost ideal for such work.
All you need to do is set the shutter speed to around one second (plus or minus depending on the degree of illumination and the zoom scroll speed. It all depends on what kind of drawing you want to get on the matrix. All these images here are obtained directly on the camera matrix. Next, I processed the raw frames, depending on my desire. Somewhere I added sharpness or contrast, somewhere on the contrary I decreased it. In some cases, I used the editor's gradient filter. It all depends on your preferences and skills of working with the program.

Суть в том, что при этом вам потребуется зум-объектив и возможно затемняющий фильтр.
Но это если вы снимаете днём когда много света.
Вечером, ночью или в помещении существующая освещённость почти идеальна для такой работы.
Всё, что вам нужно, это установить выдержку в районе одной секунды (плюс/минус в зависимости от степени освещённости и скорости прокрутки зума. Здесь всё зависит от того, какой рисунок на матрице вы хотите получить. Све эти изображения здесь получены непосредственно на матрицу камеры. Далее я обрабатывал сырые кадры в зависимости от желания. Где-то добавлял резкости или контраста, где-то наоборот убавлял. В некоторых случаях использовал градиентный фильтр редактора. Здесь всё зависит от ваших предпочтений и навыков работы с программой.
Для просмотра рекомендую включить ночной режим.
I find this very interesting to see and wonder what the original photo looks like and what it looks like after editing. I'm going to show it to my youngest, whom I gave a camera to get started with (a person should have a few creative hobbies). Perhaps it would be a good idea to paint it afterwards as well.
These are my works from 2014. I'm afraid I won't be able to find the raw source files right away, but I can describe the images.
When processing these raw files, I increased the sharpness/detail and added contrast.
The drawing itself is received immediately on the matrix. I just added a trace of gradient filters during processing and a vignette. In fact, there is very little processing here.
To get a colorful and bright drawing, you can go to the mall. Storefronts, advertisements, light sources - everything you need is there. You just need to grab a camera and a zoom lens))

При обработке этих сырых файлов я увеличил резкость/детализацию и добавил контраста.
Сам рисунок получен сразу на матрицу. Я лишь добавил след от градиентных фильтров при обработке и виньетку. На самом деле обработки тут совсем немного.
Чтобы получить накой разноцветный и яркий рисунок, можно зайти в торговый центр. Витрины, рекламы, источники света - там есть всё необходимое. Надо только захватить камеру и зум-объектив))

P.s. if it comes to the woodstove activating the waterpump it's hard to reach the 40 degrees Celsius (more smoke than warmth because of a lack of draft it's raining again) and 90 degrees is the max and you'd better not hear and see what happens if it reaches that temp (close to explosing).
If I hadn't taken this photo myself, I might have thought that someone had drawn it with pencils or chalk on a piece of paper :)
I was talking about the bright colors that can be easily found in a store with colorful goods. But the photo doesn't have to be bright. It is important to get an unusual pattern in lines and shapes. If desired or necessary, you can color it in the editor.

Я говорил про яркие цвета, которые можно легко найти в магазине с разноцветными товарами. Но не обязательно фотография должна быть яркой. Важно получить необычный рисунок в линиях и формах. Раскрасить при желании или необходимости можно и программе редакторе.
The thrust in the furnace is pure physics. If there is a lot of smoke and there is not enough draft, first you need to check the pipe / chimney. Perhaps a lot of soot has formed there and the smoke simply has nowhere to go, the passage is too thin (there is a lot of resistance and the smoke goes to where the resistance is less, into the room).
Another option is that the pipe may not be high enough to create a pressure difference between hot and cold air (this difference causes smoke to rise). And yet, the thermal insulation of the pipe itself is important, the smoke should not cool down in the pipe. Otherwise, there will be a weak draft and there will be more soot and even tar.
I've built brick stoves in my life, and I know what they are. It also happens that before starting a fire in the furnace, you need to burn a couple of paper newspapers. The air in the pipe warms up and there is a normal draft.

Тяга в печи, это чистая физика. Если много дыма и не хватает тяги, для начала надо проверить трубу/дымоход. Возможно там образовалось много сажи и дыму просто некуда идти, слишком тонкий проход (большое сопротивление и дым идёт туда, куда сопротивление меньше, в помещение).
Другой вариант, труба может быть недостаточно высокой, чтобы создать перепад давлений горячего и холодного воздуха (именно перепад заставляет дым идти вверх). И ещё, важна термоизоляция самой трубы, дым не должен остывать в трубе. Иначе будет слабая тяга и ещё будет больше сажи и даже дёгтя.
Я в своей жизни клал печи из кирпича и знаю что это такое. Бывает и так, что перед тем как развести огонь в топке надо прожечь пару бумажных газет. Воздух в трубе прогревается и появляется нормальная тяга.

If it comes to the chimney... we only deal with the problem if it rains and if the door is opened to put more wood on it. There's no smoke problem if I feed the fire from underneath (there's a small opening. I will try the newspaper (paper) trick first and see if it works better. Let's hope winter is over soon or at least there's no longer a need to use the woodstove.

I agree, in total darkness, no light will get on the film or matrix to leave its mark. But for a long exposure, twilight or lack of light, on the contrary, are good conditions. During the day, you have to darken the lens by clamping the aperture and installing (if this measure is not enough) a neutral gray ND filter.
Yes, burning a newspaper before lighting a stove warms the air inside the pipe and this contributes to the appearance of draft. Lighting firewood in a furnace with a cold pipe is not the best solution for traction :)
Atmospheric pressure also strongly affects traction. In wet, cloudy weather, the initial thrust is worse.

Согласен, в полной темноте никакой свет не попадёт на плёнку или матрицу, чтобы оставить свой след. Но для длинной выдержки сумерки или недостаток света наоборот являются хорошими условиями. Днём приходится затемнять объектив зажимая диафрагму и устанавливая (если не хватает этой меры) нейтральный серый фильтр ND.
Да, прожигание газеты перед растопкой печи согревает воздух внутри трубы и это способствует появлению тяги. Разжигать дрова в топке имея холодную трубу не лучшее решение для тяги :)
Ещё на тягу сильно влияет атмосферное давление. В сырую пасмурную погоду начальная тяга хуже.
Да, будем надеяться, что зима закончится (у нас точно не скоро)), станет теплее и веселее:)

From my experience February always tends to be the coldest month... 8 more days to go and the next 2 more months. Right now a strong icy wind blows 🫤 I am so glad I no longer have to get out of bed at 4 am to be in time to drive children to the bus station.
I told my son about the newspapers and from today on we will try it again. I say try because years ago we did burn paper but I'm not sure if the stove worked better.
Even if not completely dark I am not able to take a photo. I will see if adding a light + some filter works out.

A lot depends on the device of the furnace chimney. Some furnaces have the ability to burn paper directly in the pipe itself. A small hatch and a pair of shutters direct the heat from the newspaper directly into the chimney.
If it's not completely dark, make the shutter speed longer, about 1 second. That's usually enough. But here you need to try different excerpts.

У нас февраль соревнуется с январём в нагнетании холода :)
Многое зависит от устройства дымохода печи. У некоторых печей есть возможность сжигать бумагу прямо в самой трубе. Небольшой люк и пара заслонок направляют тепло от газеты прямо в дымоход.
Если не совсем темно сделай выдержку подлиннее, примерно 1 секунду. Обычно этого хватает. Но тут нужно пробовать разные выдержки.
