I like both, although the first a bit more. I guess that baby blue adds a bit extra to the sky and water but if you ask me purple would be better for me (closer to back as well) 😁
I like how the first picture seems like what you paint with brush and then there's flowing paint that matched the context. But how do they do that? Paint that part on flat surface and immediately let it stand?
I assume the used water and the water makes it flow... you can drip with a brush or indeed move the painting in the direction you like the paint/ink to flow.
