Digital Art | Jeysahh, the one with the sharp needles ⚔
Good evening, my dear #Steemit readers. Happy Tuesday to everyone who’s here reading my post once again. It’s your friend Manuel here, absolutely delighted to be sharing a new #steemexclusive art post on my blog. On this occasion, I’m here to share an illustration in which I decided to create a sort of warrior character whom I’ve named Jeysahh, 'She of the Sharp Needles', and as her name suggests, she is a fierce female swordswoman, characterised by carrying two long, sharp swords, which resemble enormous needles. These swords are unique, as they were forged by her former master and mentor especially for her.

En esta oportunidad les vengo a compartir una ilustración en la cual se me ocurrió crear algo así como una especie de personaje guerrero a la cual decidí llamar como Jeysahh, la de las Agujas filosas, y como su mismo nombre lo dice, se trata de una aguerrida mujer espadachín, la cual se caracteriza por portar 2 largas y afiladas espadas, las cuales se asemejan a enormes agujas, estas espadas son únicas, ya que fueron forjadas por su anterior maestro y mentor especialmente para ella.

At first, I began working on the body structure by adopting a sort of battle pose. In this case, I wanted the swords to take center stage with the character of Jeysahh, so I drew her holding one of the swords right in front of her and the other pointing upward. As for the coloring, I started with a peach-colored base for the body, using only soft brushes like the airbrush and the watercolor brush, which allowed me to create a soft texture, but also to blend the strokes and smudge them to achieve a much more realistic texture.
En un principio empecé trabajar la estructura corporal adoptando una especie de pose de batalla, en este caso trate de que las espadas tomaran mucho protagonismo con el personaje de Jeysahh, así que la dibuje empuñando una de las espadas justo frente a ella, y la otra hacia arriba. Con respecto a la coloreado empecé con una base de color durazno para el cuerpo usando solo pinceles suaves como el aerógrafo y el pincel de acuarela, el cual me permite una textura suave, pero también mezclar los trazos y difuminarlos para conseguir una textura mucho más realista.
For the eyes, I wanted shades that would contrast a bit with Jeysahh’s character, which is why I decided to use colors like red to convey a tough, serious look and personality. For the lips, I used slightly warmer tones and soft brushes, such as an airbrush. As for the outfit, I decided to create a look with a variety of pieces, using purple tones to make leg warmers that covered Jeysahh from her thighs to her ankles, as well as her arms; then, using brown and yellow tones, I created a second layer of fabric to form a fairly short dress that overlapped slightly with the leg piece.
Para el apartado de los ojos quería tonos que contrastaran un poco con el personaje de Jeysahh, es por ello que me decidí por usar colores como el rojo para transmitir una mirada y personalidad ruda y seria, y para los labios usé tonos un poco mas cálidos y pinceles suaves como el aerógrafo. En lo que respecta a la vestimenta se me ocurrió crear una vestimenta de prendas muy variadas, con tonos morados para crear especies de calentadores que cubriesen desde los muslos hasta los tobillos de Jeysahh, así como también en la zona de los brazos; luego con tonos marrones y amarillos cree una 2da capa de tela para formar un vestido bastante corto que se cruzara un poco con la prenda de las piernas.
For the needle-shaped swords, use medium shades of gray and blue as a base. In this case, use only flat, stiff brushes to best capture the texture of the metal. Make long strokes to give the swords a pointed appearance, making them look very much like large needles, and then use white tones to create a shiny effect that adds realism to the metal; and for the hilt area of the swords, use brown tones to create a texture resembling handcrafted wood. Finally, set the entire scene of my drawing as if (Jeysahh) were in a kind of arena or Colosseum, waiting to face an opponent in combat.
En el caso de las espadas con forma de aguja use tonos grises y azules intermedios como base, en ese caso solo use pinceles planos y duros para lograr trabajar el metal de la mejor forma posible, realice trazos largos para darle una apariencia puntiaguda a las espadas y que asemejara bastante a grandes agujas, y luego con tonos blancos cree ese efecto brilloso que le diera realismo al metal; y para la zona de las empuñaduras de las espadas use tonos marrones para formar una especie de textura mas como de madera artesanal. Finalmente, ambiente todo el escenario de mi dibujo como si (Jeysahh) estuviese en una especie de arena o Coliseum, esperando para enfrentarse en combate con algún adversario.
