Kitmoldur, the one with the electric sword | Digital Art

Good afternoon, my dear #Steemit readers. Happy Sunday to everyone reading this, and I hope you are all doing well. Once again, your friend Manuel here is super happy to share a new artistic post for my blog. This time, I bring you a character I invented a few days ago. an elf warrior whom I named Kitmoldur, the Electric Sword, and as his name suggests, he is basically a warrior who can combine his formidable skill with the sword with his amazing magical powers, bathing the already sharp blade of his weapon with electricity, turning it into an object capable of cutting mountains in half:

Muy buenas tardes mis queridos lectores de #Steemit, feliz domingo para todos los que se encuentran por aquí leyéndome, y espero que estén super bien; por aquí los saluda una vez mas su amigo Manuel super feliz de poder compartirles un nuevo post artístico para mi blog. En esta oportunidad les traigo un personaje que invente hace algunos días atrás, se trata de un guerrero elfo al cual llame por el nombre de: Kitmoldur, el de la espada Eléctrica, y como su mismo nombre nos lo indica básicamente se trataría de un guerrero el cual puede combinar su terrible habilidad con la espada con sus asombrosos poderes mágicos, bañando la de por sí ya filosa hoja de su arma con electricidad, volviéndola un objeto capaz de cortar montañas a la mitad:

To begin with, I started by making a sketch for my work. In this case, I drew the warrior (Kitmoldur) with slightly long, pointed ears to represent that he was an elf, and I drew him in a pose as if he were holding his powerful sword in front of him. I also wanted to give the character a slightly Japanese or samurai-style outfit. Once I had finished my sketch, I moved on to the next step, which was painting. In this case, I worked on the skin with opaque brown tones. Here, I decided to use only my watercolor brush to give texture to the skin on the face so that he would look like a fairly mature warrior.

Para empezar, comencé realizando un boceto para mi obra, en este caso dibujé al guerrero (Kitmoldur) con orejas un poco largas y picudas para representar que se trataría de un elfo, y dibuje su pose como sosteniendo su poderosa espada frente a él; en este caso también quise darle al personaje un estilo de ropa un poco japones o medio samurái. Ya habiendo culminado mi boceto me pase al siguiente apartado, el de pintado, en este caso trabaje la piel con tonos marrones opacos, aquí si decidí usar solo mi pincel de acuarela para darle una textura a la piel del rostro de modo que se viese como un guerrero de edad bastante adulta.

In the second part, I focused on building the expression of the character (Kitmoldur). For his eyes, I used medium yellow tones and created slightly narrowed eyes to give him a slightly more serious style and personality. For the hair, I used a contrasting color palette with purple and lilac tones. I didn't complicate things too much here and preferred to create a samurai-style bun on top of his head.

En la 2da parte me centre en la construcción de la expresión del personaje de (Kitmoldur), en el caso de sus ojos use tonos amarillos intermedios y cree unos ojos levemente entrecerrados para darle una estilo y personalidad un poco mas serio. Para el trabajo del pelo use una paleta de colores contrastante con tonos morados y lila, aquí no me complique mucho y preferí crear su cabellera recogida en una especie de moño sobre su cabeza a estilo samurái.

For the clothing, I used various shades of brown to create something like a thick, long-sleeved, high-necked suit. I used my airbrush brush for this because I like the texture it gives. Then, using yellow tones and a flat brush, I created golden details from the top of the neck down to the chest, and also on the sleeves with horizontal lines. To create the sword, I used blue and purple tones to shape the blade of the weapon. Here, I only used the watercolor brush to work on the details of the highlights and shadows. Then, with the same watercolor brush, but using white tones, I detailed the glints on the blade and also the edges, all to finally create a slight thunder and lightning effect around the weapon to represent the character's magical powers.

Para el trabajo de la ropa use tonos marrones varios para crear algo así como un traje grueso de mangas largas y cuello alto, para ello use mi pincel de aerógrafo ya que me gusta la textura de da, luego con tonos amarillos y un pincel plano cree detalles dorados desde la zona alta de cuello pasando por el pecho, y también en la zona de las mangas con líneas horizontales. Para la creación de la espada use tonos azules y morados para darle forma a la hoja del arma, aquí solo use el pincel de acuarela para trabajar bien los detalles de brillos y sombras; luego con el mismo pincel de acuarela, pero con tonos blancos detalle los brillos en la hoja y también los filos en los bordes, todo para finalmente cree un leve efecto de truenos y relámpagos alrededor del arma para representar los poderes mágicos del personaje.
