RE: Some of the Pastels While I Was in South Carolina

I made 18 (five days), and two days of travel, means I lost two days. Pentel (very affordable) and some Sennelier (very NOT affordable).
I enjoy making pastels. The Sennelier are my favorite, and I would have “painted” into the pastels if I my hostesses’ house would have allowed it. (She’s too neat!) So, I used them like crayons, which is fine by me. A different style and, like you said, a “happier” look. But I was itchin’ to get back to painting, as my next post will tell.
Thank you!

You mean one day lost. Three paintings a dayakes (3*5) 15 + 3 (another day) = 18 and you should have 21...

I have Sennelier as well, but will order others I heard about to try out. I still have to finish one with Panda (Talens) with the paletknife on canvas... which is a crime.

You can always take a break from oil painting if the smell is too much again and grab the oil pastels and use them like crayons.

Oh come on, how much dirt can one create while working with oil pastels 😉

Happy painting!

Oops. I meant 15 pastels.
The Pentel are dirt cheap, and work like acrylic pastels. The Sennelier are soooo much more juicy:)
And I know... I have alpha sister issues. But I’m back in my world now, so I don’t have to behave.
