Goldfish Digital Art
Hello everyone! Today, I’m going to draw a goldfish—a fish that I find incredibly cute, adorable, and unique. It has big eyes, a large head, and a round body, and it moves very slowly.
GOLDFISH
- The steps are very simple; as usual, we start by using a 1:1 aspect ratio (2048 × 2048).
and use the brush tool circled in red
- Next, here we use the family colors orange and dark orange, light orange and add white
- Next, we create a rough initial sketch to form the image of the fish.
- Next, we roughly apply the characteristic colors to the goldfish.
- Next, use the smudge or shading tool to create color gradients; apply this gradually, following the direction of the image rather than working against it. Finally, add a black background and draw a thin white line following the original sketch.

Lo que aprendí al ver tu paso a paso es que trabajar con una proporción 1:1 (2048 × 2048) te da la base perfecta para los detalles, la vida me enseñó que aplicar primero la familia de naranjas y luego el blanco genera profundidad rápidamente. Sin vueltas, el uso del smudge siguiendo la dirección de la figura evita que el color se vea forzado. 👍
It is spot on, because every time the brush stroke reverses direction against the image, it destroys the image.
I can't see the fish very well. Where is its face? The you drew us a really a certain species and there are more ordinary,common ones.

Its face isn't visible because I drew it from a top-down view, so the face is obscured by the head; this is an Oranda goldfish, a type known for having a very large head.
Ah, I believe I know which one you mean. The disabled one, not able to survive in the wild. That one will not bring much luckare you able to draw the face too or is that too difficult?
