I don't think this question will ever be answered. Brother Monkey remains silent. Perhaps he is offended or annoyed because he has been called to account by the monkey. Maybe he whispered a master plan into Von Max's ear, or perhaps it was other voices in the painter's head that also liked to dissect figures. Who else did this? Leonardo? Perhaps it is a quirk of painters to dissect everything before they depict it?
It all looks a bit dark and gloomy. Let's not wonder what it smells like. Thank you for reading and leaving a comment.
