Steem engagement challenge-S12/W5|"I want to change my three habits."

Assalamu Alaikum

How are you all? I hope everyone is doing well, by God's grace. Alhamdulillah, I am also well in the infinite mercy of the Creator through your prayers. Currently, the fifth week of the season 12 engagement challenge is going on, and I am trying to participate in this challenge. This is a challengeI I want to change my three habits. Thank Incredible India for organising such a wonderful contest, and I thank the Steemit team authorities for bringing so many wonderful topics with incredible thinking. We get to know a lot about these topics and learn a lot of important things that we never knew. There were many ideas about them.

As the saying goes, people are slaves to habits. We can prove that this is not true by changing any of our habits at any moment. Yes, in this case, if a habit has been around for a long time, it becomes very difficult to leave it. But there is nothing that man cannot achieve. So man can never be a slave of habit, but habit is the slave of man. We all have some good habits as well as some bad ones. It's only natural that we get compliments all the time on good habits, and we hear different things from different people on bad habits. But we all should improve ourselves by keeping good habits and avoiding bad habits. Many of us think that it is very difficult for us to avoid these bad habits. Maybe we think we can never do it. But as I said earlier, there is no work that people cannot do. So we all need to get out of these bad habits. And this matter will completely depend on the will of our hearts. If we take our mind hard and use our will power then we can get out of any bad habit Inshallah.

In our daily lives, we have to walk with good and bad people. And there are both good and bad in people. I think that every person has an awakened conscience. If he uses his conscience and intelligence to see the good and the bad, avoid the bad, and walk with good people, his bad habits will change immediately. So we have to leave the company of bad people; we have to get out of bad thoughts. Only then can we easily change our own bad habits. Even in today's social outlook, many of our habits are formed by and depend entirely on sociality. To live in society, we have to follow these social aspects many times, be they good or bad. Because in our society, when any bad habit continues day in and day out, it becomes a habit. So if we try to avoid it, there will be chaos in society. In this case, the big bosses of society should look at these things and avoid the evils of society, no matter how much people get used to them.

I want to change three of my habits on my own initiative, not if I get the chance. I discuss below the habits I want to change.

1. Getting angry a little:

  • This bad habit has been with me for a long time, due to which I faced many losses in life. I used to get angry with words, get angry and vandalise a lot, and stop eating and drinking. I keep thinking that if you get angry, you lose, but even then, when I argue or get angry, I don't remember anything. When I get angry, I hurt myself. So I decided to try to control my anger with all my efforts, and I am doing that. Because now I understand how terrible this anger is for me.

2. Correct use of time:

  • Every one of us should make proper use of time. But I was very negligent in this regard. So in many cases in life, I have failed as a result of not taking advantage of this time. We all know that time and river flow never wait for anyone, but still, we don't use this time properly. I think it is a bad habit of ours. We have no idea how precious time is, but the more we learn about it, the more we realise how much time we have wasted. When I remember that in my life now, it hurts a lot. But what is gone is not coming back, so there is no point in suffering. So I think I have to use the right time of the day and move forward. That is why I have come to the conclusion that I will make the best use of every moment from now on so that I don't have to suffer any more failure in life.

3. Smoking:

  • We all know how bad smoking is for us. Knowingly, we are constantly pushing ourselves towards death. As a result of smoking, our lungs are slowly destroyed, which causes many people to die from lung cancer. Currently, the government of our country has added many pictures to the cigarette packets so that people are somewhat aware of them. But in my opinion, people are constantly pushing themselves to death by smoking this without any care. Although I think there is some negligence by the government in this case, on the other hand, it can be seen that many people are making a living with this cigarette business. Stopping them will cause many unemployment problems. The government is trying to make people aware of it by analysing everything. But how much are we becoming aware? If I say in my words that I myself am not aware, knowingly, I also smoke. At one time, I did not smoke, but when I entered the working world, my colleagues were also smokers, so I got addicted to smoking while walking with them. So I am now trying to get out of it myself. Now I feel that I am killing myself by smoking this. So very soon I will get out of it, inshallah.

Changing habits has a lot to do with my personal and professional lives. For example, if I suddenly get angry about any issue or trivial incident in my family, then my family will be shocked and think differently about me in addition to the damage I will cause. And if I say this in the professional field, then no one can accept my anger in any way. Either you fire me or we have to leave the job. Because the family will accept many things, but outside the family, they are not their own people, so they will not accept this matter in any way. If the right decisions are not taken on time and at the right time, or if the importance of time is not given, then many people in the family will have problems. For example, in the case of children, if the right decisions are not taken at the right time, then the children will have problems selecting any subject. Life will blame us. And in the professional field, I will say that time is more important; time cannot be neglected in any way. Whoever neglects time will not be able to reach a higher position in any way. And what about the family? When it comes to smoking, no one has ever accepted it because it is a completely harmful thing that will hurt me and everyone in my family. Also, a smoker will not be looked upon favourably by his family. And professionally, I would have a slightly different opinion on that because, when I didn't smoke, my colleagues would tell me you're not a man. If he were a male, he would have encouraged me to smoke. But in this case, I think smoking became a style because they smoked and thought they were different.

In fact, we humans always try to be corrected by advising others without correcting ourselves. It is true that if the person we advise knows about me, he will not care about this at all. Sometimes that person will tell you to be better first and then advise others to be better, which makes you feel more ashamed. So we all always need to correct ourselves before giving good advice to any person; only then is it possible to give good advice to others. For example, suppose a person tells a lot of lies, but everyone more or less knows this. If that person advises someone that you should never tell a lie and that lying is a great sin, he will find it ridiculous and tell him the opposite. Fix yourself first, and then come to advise me.
