The March contest #2 by sduttaskitchen|Nothing comes free in life!

It’s another exciting moment to rub minds. Who’s excited to be a part of this great moment of rubbing minds, me! Let’s dig in.

How do you glance at the term "Nothing comes free in life!" Explain!

Have you heard of the saying that even in free town nothing is free. Yes! That’s because nothing is ever free in life. Let’s say for example you go to an event or a program and they are sharing free items to you and you are happy that you got some items without having to pay for it.

To you, it’s free because you didn’t pay for it directly, but someone else paid for it to be given to you free. So you see, nothing in life is free.

I read of a restaurant where you come in through the front door, there’s a write up that says free to eat whatever you like. So you go in and eat all you like and then you have to go through the back door and there’s a write up saying; pay for someone else to eat free like you did.

For every free things you have ever had or received, someone somewhere sponsored it. So nothing is free. Everything gets paid for. When we aren’t the direct sponsors, we say it’s free but the question is, is it really free?

Do you believe whatever we get in life has its own cost? your viewpoint!

Everything has a cost in life. If nothing is really free like we discussed above, then that means that there is a price attached to everything. And these orices comes in different shapes and forms.

It’s could be in cash or kind. The price could be tangible or intangible but something has to be paid to get something. Most of the prices we pay is in monetary form where we have to pay money to acquire virtually everything we need.

Sometimes the prices also come in form of giving time to something or someone. Even as I am engaging in this contest, I am paying the price of time and energy. Giving my time to write this and also my mental energy is involved.

For a student to do well in school work and in the studies, he or she would have to pay the price of hardwork. Putting in time to excel in the studies. And the same applies to cooperate workers.

To build one’s carrier requires quality times of dedication and hardwork to the job. Even to build good family bonding, the husband and wife would have to pay the price of spending quality time together and also to train the children.

We see that children who receive maximum care and attention from their parents turn out better than those who do not. Hence everything we see in one way or the other requires a cost to be achieved.

What influential lessons or principles should we cherish along the way? Share your thoughts!

Some principle we can cherish along the way in this subject at hand includes;

  • Being grateful in life: Since we now know that nothing comes free of charge, we should always be grateful for whatever thing we receive even if its free to us cos we didn’t pay for that. We know that someone paid for it, so we should appreciate people more often knowing that there was a sacrifice behind their gifts no matter how little the gifts are.

  • We should appreciate our parents more knowing that they put in a lot work and paid some sacrifices to bring us to where we are.

  • We should also put in work wherever we find ourselves to make the most of the time and opportunity to grow. Knowing that nothing comes for free. We shouldn’t expect manner to drop from heaven. We have to do our best in every field and situation we are in.

Thank you. I ask @abovefingers, @ngozi996 to join the contest.

Greetings ☺️

Nothing comes free in life means a lot, very thing has a price in life. Be it a commodity or something natural. I like how you structured the post and the message was well understood.

But, what if you gained something for free but that thing really cost you attention & time. Can we say it's free. A friend of mine experienced this, he still thinks it's free.

Well-done!

If you read my post, you would have seen your question was already answered. I think you didn’t really read it.
