WHAT IS ERA?

Hello friends! let's talk about eras, there are different eras in the world but first of all let me define what an era is. An era is a particular period of time that is characterized by events or movement that shapes the society.

An era is often marked by notable figures, achievements, milestones or historical events that took place during a specific time frame. Eras provide the context for people to understand the historical and cultural development of a particular time.

Examples of some eras that I am aware of includes; the jazz age, the mediaval era, the digital era, modern/technological era, futuristic era, etc.

The jazz era was a period of time where all the music that was played and recognized at that time was called jazz.

The modern era is this present era where we have the genetic engineering, industrial revolution and there is technological advancements and people are enlightened in scientific evolution.

The cultural era is an era where artistic trends, values and movement was dominant in the society.

The futuristic era is the era that is not invoke yet but it is envisioned to be in years to come. It is an era where we will have AI-enhanced humans.

MY PREFERRED ERA

All the eras are important but I prefer the modern era which presents the digital age for several reasons;

Nowadays we have what we call weather forecast which is made possible by the help of technology. Scientists can now detect and tell what the weather will be like in the next day.
With the development of technology we now have jobs online which we call "remote jobs" where people get employed to do a particular task and get paid.
There is great advancement in computer field, internet and mobile devices through technology.
Through technology we can now connect with people globally. Internet and social media have made it possible to communicate with your family and friends that are not nearby.
Technology has led to great improvement in the healthcare sector. Hospitals now have better equipments to use in treating their patients.
Technology has made it easy for people to access any available information and resources online.

Which changes do you like and dislike about the Modern Era? Describe.

For me, the modern era is a technological era. I like the modern era because of the evolvement of technology. In this modern era, we have improved medical services, access to information and Resources, global Communication, and increased productivity.

There are things I dislike about the modern era. People now depends solely on AI, it foster distraction and addiction for example the social media can easily distract students from studying, the level of physical activity has also decreased because there are machines doing the work of human beings.

MY BIRTH ERA

I was born in the modern era and I am happy I was born in this era. Being a part of this era has shaped my life in ways I'm truly grateful for. The following are the reasons why I am happy I was born in the modern era;

I don't have to travel to visit my relatives before I could talk to them, I could sit at my comfort zone and make a video call to them, talk to them and also see them.
This era has offered me access to information which made my days in school easier. Anytime I had an assignment to do in school, I could easily browse and finds answers online.
The modern era also grant me access to online courses and tutorial. Digital tools have helped me to develop my skills for example the makeup I do is what I developed through online courses.
