The May contest #1 by sduttaskitchen: Soul select soulmates!

Let's assume that you are just in your house watching a movie jn the movie you see two people walking in the hot sun going thier different ways. Then finally the jamp each other at one junction, small discussion started. Before you know it, they begin to reason that maybe destiny bring them together. But wait o, have you ever ask yourself: is it true that soul do select soulmate, or it's us that we deceive ourselves with sweet talk?

However life is not like Nollywood film which love can just happen like magic. In real life, relationship is a serious moment it can be sweet like cold water in hot weather but also burn like fire if care is not taken.

Many people do say “It is God that join us together” or “its destiny that carried me to meet him or her.” Some do believe that soul do select soulmate, like your spirit have already mark one person for you before you were even born. But if we reason it very well, it's not like that.

The truth is that ,sometimes its environment, chance, or even small stubbornness can make two people to jam together. You can meet a person in the bus stop, church, or even inside market, and from there love will later start. It's just us that give it big grammar like “soulmate.”

So my own view is that: soul doesn't select soulmate like lottery. However it will be us that will choose who we want to love, or who we want to tolerate, and who we want to build life with forever. However I'll just say that if you don't just try your best to put more effort, even if its your “soulmate,” relationship will still scatter. Destiny can bring you two together, but it's hard work that will keep you two together.

Relationship can be sweet at the beginning, but many do crash at last. What cause it?

1. Lack of Communication
   It's silence that kill love more. If you don't always love to say your mind, small misunderstanding can turn a very big quarrel.

2. Trust Issues
   Once trust is broken, that's problem. If a person do suspect every move, love will be weak.

3. Financial problems
   Money matter can scatter many homes. If one person carries all the load or misuse money, quarrel will full the house.

4. Infidelity
   Cheating is one big factor. Once loyalty is shaken, respect will vanish.

5. Unrealistic Expectations
   Some people do expect partner to be perfect like Instagram filter. But real life is not like that.

6. Family and Peer Pressure
   Sometimes in-laws or friends can add more pepper inside a relationship. If the couple are not strong, external influence can break them.

For relationship to last, both parties must hold some principles tight.

1. Respect
   Without respect, love is an empty shell. Respect your partner opinion, body, and hustle.

2. Communication
   However the best thing is to say your mind no matter what, don't just hide your feelings. Even if it is pain, better to say it than to just keep it inside.

3. Having Trust and Honesty
   However don't lie anyhow. Once trust is available, love will be very strong.

4. Patience and Forgiveness
   Everybody can make mistake. If you don't forgive, relationship will be bitter.

5. Shared Goals
   Plan it together. If one is running towards north and the other running towards south, you two will scatter.

6. Commitment
   Love is not only when things are sweet. Commitment is when you still stand even when problem comes.

Relationship is not beans. Therefore it will requires a lot of effort, sacrifice, and maturity. So soulmate can be sweet in the mouth, but it's a daily choice and discipline that keep love alive. If both partners respect, communicate, trust, and plan together, relationship can last till old age.
