Sketching Tutorial :- Beneath the Surface 🌊🎨
Greetings ! |
|---|
I am @gondalbiya from Pakistan !
How are you? I hope you all are doing well. I am also fine and grateful for this opportunity. I am here to showcase and improve my drawing skills. This time, I created a drawing titled “Beneath the Surface”, and I sincerely hope it meets your expectations. I put a lot of effort into capturing the details and emotions in this piece, from the delicate lines to the shading and small highlights, to bring the concept to life.
Material Needed : |
|---|
- Lead Pencil
- Black Crayon Colour
Step 1 |
|---|
First, I drew a single hand with long fingers, and below it, I sketched the girl’s two legs, giving them smooth and well-defined lines.
Step 2 |
|---|
After that, I added two small drops—one in front and one behind the hand—to represent tiny water bubbles. I then shaped the girl’s skirt, forming the outline of her frock. One of her arms was visible, with thin fingers defining its shape, and I used long, diagonal lines to create the flow and length of her hair.
Step 3 |
|---|
After that, I carefully outlined the girl’s body, including her legs, frock, and one arm. I then shaded the interior with a pencil and added depth and color by filling it in with crayon.
Step 4 |
|---|
Next, I emphasized the outline of the upper hand by darkening its lines and then filled it in with crayon for a bold and complete look.
Step 5 |
|---|
After that, I darkened the lines of the girl’s hair and shaped her thin strands carefully. I filled it in neatly with crayon, giving her hair a proper, flowing appearance. I also added small dots along the hair to represent tiny water drops.
My Final Picture |
|---|
This sketch shows a person sinking in water while another hand reaches down from above. First, draw the basic shapes to plan the position of the body and hand. Then slowly add details to the legs, dress, and fingers. Draw the hair flowing upward to show movement in water and add small bubbles for an underwater effect. Use light and dark pencil shading to give depth and make the sketch look soft and emotional. Finish by cleaning the lines and smoothing the shading.
