In your opinion, which one is more challenging: achieving success or retaining it? Share your views!

Retaining success is more challenging than achieving success in my own opinion. I have been in life situations where I find it difficult to retain my success.

When we are talking about achieving success, the following are required: hard work, determination, sacrifice, and focus. But when it comes to retaining success, the following are required; discipline, consistency, emotional control, continuous growth, and humility.

I have seen a lot of people, especially celebrities and politicians who work so hard to reach the top, but once they get to the top, they feel more comfortable, full of pride, fear of what people would say, make poor decisions, spend lavishly, and a lot more that cause them to fall.

One thing about success is that it attracts competition, pressure for someone to do something above his or her means, and with high expectations which if you're successful today and keep rising, means you will be getting more responsibility.

A good example of how it is challenging to retain success, is in business, where it is difficult for someone to build a business, but maintaining reputation, profits and customers is even harder than building a business. Retaining success is a lifelong war, whereas achieving success is a battle for survival of the fittest.

What is more significant, enjoying our passion or chasing success? Describe!

Enjoying passion is what is more significant, but it's also important when we balance them.

When we only chase success: we may feel stressed, compare ourselves with others, and even get to the point where we may lose our happiness.

But when we choose to enjoy our passion: we will feel fulfilled, motivated naturally, and work with energy and joy.

Logically speaking, especially in my own country, Nigeria, people who follow their passion are the ones that attracts success in life because they put in more time and genuine effort towards what they have a passion for.

What is the definition of achievement according to your perspective?

The definition of achievement according to my perspective mean: Setting a goal → Working towards it → Overcoming obstacles → Growing in the process → And becoming a better version of myself.

Achievement can be seen in different ways and it is personal.

For me my achievement, may be building a company with more than 10,000 workers, for my friend, brother, sister, or even you reading this, it may be raising a responsible child. For another person, achievement may be just to overcome fear or bad habits. For a student, it may be having a good grade.

Achievement is not about me or you being better than others, it is about us being better than yesterday because real achievement is progress with purpose and it is not loud.
