Out In The Street Doing God's Business.

It was a regular Saturday like every other but with a slight difference and that was because we decided to make it different. This Saturday was the very last saturday of the month and of course we have set every last Saturday of the month apart for Soul winning activities.

We had scheduled it for 4pm. Usually we would announce in church for three Sundays consecutively before the very weekend when we all set out to preach the gospel. That's basically what we do. We storm the street around us, telling them about the love of Christ toward humanity.

And this we do irrespective of the religion of whoever we come across because Christ died for all and not for a particular set of people. And just like we did in our last outing, we took our speaker which has two microphones, usually for the speaker and interpreter and then positioned ourselves at junctions to share this good news about Christ.

We do this from one junction to the other with different speakers and interpreters preaching as God gives utterance. This particular one was quite interesting and impactful. We believe and know that many might not have openly confessed Christ but must have done it in the secret which is the most important thing to us.

Personally I feel very happy because I got about two people saved while going about this activity. They were actually four but two out of the four showed keen interest and confessed Christ as their Lord and saviour. My joy escalated when they showed up in service yesterday being Sunday.

I wasn't expecting them anyways, I was even thinking about them the evening before not knowing how to go about following them up or bringing them to church even though church was close to them. The most challenging part for me was that they do not speak English, I had to communicate in Yoruba language, a native language in Nigeria which they have managed to learn since they aren't Nigerians, they are citizens of the Benin Republic.

We actually had a great time preaching, singing and rejoicing. When you go out there to do God's work and you see some result from the activities, it gladden the heart just as it does to God's heart. Such is the kind of Joy that still wells us in my soul.

Anyways, this is a reminder to us all not to be weary in doing God's business. He has entrusted to us the work to reconcile men to Him, the creator of the universe.
Thank you for your time guys...will sure catch y'all later.
