SEC17/W2| While making decisions, what do you prefer to follow: heart or mind?
When it comes to decision making, one of the things we really need to understand is the fact that we can't afford to make wrong decisions because we will surely face the consequences in the future. Every wrong decisions we make in life attract negativity to our life and also every right decision we make in our lives attract positivity. So we actually need to choose which one we will be going for actually.
Today I will be sharing my own opinion about what you should use to make decisions whether it should be of the heart or the mind. Stay tuned as I explained further and I believe you will learn quite a lot I am so sure of that definitely.
What is your preference while making decisions, heart or mind?
When it comes to decision making, I want us to actually understand that it involves making use of all our body organs and system in action to make decisions and that involves both the heart and the mind. Now when we talk about preferences, most of the time I tend to make use of the mind to make my decisions.
I have actually come to discover that most of the time whenever I make decisions form the heart, it is as a result of emotions or me been in a rush and at the end of the day, I discovered I end up not making the right decisions I should have really made in life. So I will rather choose to make decisions from my mind. Whenever I make use of my mind, since the mind combines the brain also and the brain is much more calculative and logical, I tend to take right decisions at the end of the day.
Do you think we need both in terms of making decisions? Describe reasons.
Alright I will like to explain this in details but first of all I will say we need both. One of the things associated with decision making is the fact that we will always make decisions whenever situations arises. There are situations that involves me using the mind to take decisions and also there are decisions that involves me making use of the heart to make decisions.
I will say it depends on the situation or scenario surrounding me to make those decisions then. Whenever I am faces to make decisions in a quick way, I tend to make decisions from my heart and not from my mind. But whenever I need to think thoroughly about one decision, I make use of my mind to make those decisions at the end of the day.
Are you an emotional or a practical person in real life?
This question is quite simple to answer and straightforward. I am not an emotional person and that is due to the fact that probably because of my gender. I tend to be a more practical person.
One of the things that actually made me to become a practical person was the fact that from my side, I always prefer to take decisions form the logical side of view and to be in emotional stability always. This made me to become a practical person much more than been an emotional person also.
Do you have any suggestions for youth which one they should follow in their day-to-day lives?
As I round up, one of the golden advice I will give every youth is for them to make sure that they are always careful whenever they are making decisions because decisions is what will determine the end product of our lives. We should always consider the future much more than the present when making decisions because at the long run, we will either be affected by our decisions positively or negatively in life.

Most times it's very difficult to make decisions most especially when you find yourself in a difficult situations that involves family and money.
That's true. It is always difficult to make the right decision most especially when you are under pressure but nevertheless that should not make one to make wrong decisions. we should not rush to make decisions

I share your opinion that everything will depend on the decisions we must make.
It is different to make a decision that refers to your profession than to make a decision that refers to the type of ice cream you would bring to your girlfriend or your mother. They are different situations and they act differently.
Our transcendent decisions today can affect our future tomorrow and that is why it is good to use our mind.

You are perfectly correct on this. Everything depends on the situation, there are some decisions we will take and it is because of the situation. At the long run we must be careful of the type of decisions we make

Yea and I guess we are on the same page. Both the heart and the mind can make right decisions but nevertheless I will rather make use of the mind to make decisions because it is the power house
