How do you glance towards the word social responsibility? Explain!
I would say that social responsibility is a duty meant for individuals, organizations, businesses, for the benefit of everyone and not just themselves. It involves taking decisions that consider the well-being of communities, environment and other people. Being socially responsible requires a lot, in this case one has to be selfless and not selfish. You put others first before yourself.
For individuals, social responsibility can include; protecting the environment, heping the needy and respecting others and for businesses to socially responsible, they need to consider customer relationship and treat their employees fairly.
It does not even matter if you are a member of that environment or society, the main thing is to have this sense of responsibility in you. Because a lot of people act differently when they are in a different space that is not related to them or because that employee is not from your tribe, he deserves to be treated badly.
Social responsibility is about doing the right thing, contributing to the common good and helping build a better society for the present and future generation.
Do you believe at least one community service must be a part of our responsibility? Your viewpoint!
Yes, I think participating in at least one community service should be part of our responsibility as members of the society.
We all benefit from the effort of others in one way or the other everyday; teachers educate us, healthcare takes care of us, sanitation helps keep our environment clean and because we are connected in this way, it makes sense to give something in return when we can.
Community service does not have to be something expensive, it can be helping clean the environment, mentor younger person or even support a local charity etc... Small act of service when multiplies across many people, can make a huge difference.
Personally, I don't think community service should be done merely because it is required, its greatest value comes when people genuinely care about improving other's lives. Aside helping the community, these services helps develop some positive qualities like; teamwork, responsibility, empathy and a deeper understanding of what challenges others face.
Although, people's situation differs, some may have limited time or abilities. Therefore, while I believe everyone should contribute in some way, the form of service can vary according to each person's situation.
Lastly, a healthy society is built when people look beyond themselves and creatively add to the well-being of others.
Charity makes us Rich! Do you believe this term? Justify your view!
Yes, I believe! Although not in the financial aspect many would view it. Charity to me is the greatest asset anyone could have because it is more than gold or any riches.
When we give to others, we gain something more than money but so many people do not know this, that is why the saying, “nothing goes for nothing!” Charity can make us richer in compassion, relationships and personal fulfillment. Helping someone in need gives a sense of purpose and reminds us the value of kindness. It also give strength to communities by encouraging people to support one another.
Check out many people who give their time and resources into something, they receive something more precious and vital than money. These are forms of wealth that can have a lasting impact on a person's life.
However, I still stand on my ground that charity should not be done with the mindset of becoming financial rich. When people give only because of what they will fet in return, the true purpose of charity here is lost. Genuine charity comes from a desire to help and not from a reward desire.
When a person constantly practice charity, they develop some qualities like; empathy, generosity, social relationships which can contribute to personal or professional success over time. In this light, charity can indirectly create opportunities for a person's life.
