How do you glance towards the word social responsibility? Explain!

The word social responsibility is made up of two words which are ;

• Social

• Responsibility

The word Social is a term used to describe friendly or easy to relate with. Another meaning to word social has to do with community or neighborhood or around you.

For example you could say: Mr John relates well with his neighbors and those around him, therefore you can say he is social.

Social Responsibilities should be something you decide to do without been forced. It should be a voluntary action taken

While the word Responsibility has to do with what you ought to do. It can also means task or assignment assigned to you. Someone can say responsibility is the duty I owe my parents or siblings or my boss at work.

For example; Mr femi is not meeting up with all his duties as a married man. That's responsibility.

When you now add the two meaning of social and responsibility together you can then define Social Responsibility as when a person takes up a character to fulfill a duty or task in other to add more value to his immediate community or neighborhood.

He or she does his diligence to uphold his community thereby fostering growth and togetherness.

Examples of Social Responsibilities

There are many examples of social responsibility a person may take up to foster growth around their community.

• Assisting the less privilege in our society
• Abiding by the rules and regulations of the neighborhood
• Volunteering to clean the environment
• Avoiding pollution such as air and water and land pollution
• Joining the community development programs such as providing scholarships,books and uniforms

Do you believe at least one community service must be a part of our responsibility? Your viewpoint!

For me I believe so but it should not be something forced. It should proceed from the heart.

Every individual should be able to be a part of at least one community service if he truly loves the community, he doesn't need to be forced or reminded that that he needs to do it.

There are smaller community service that we can get involved in as our responsibility. We can choose it base on our abilities. So no matter how small the service is it is much better than nothing.

Oh Yes, I definitely believe that charity can make us rich.

Firstly, the word Charity simply means the act of showing love to people especially to people who can not repay you. When we keep doing good deeds to people without expecting anything we are building ourselves up in terms of capacity.

When we help those in need, we gain rewards that are often greater than material wealth.

Charity builds up our character, the more we keep showing charity to others it imputes in us compassion, empathy and even kindness and these are all virtues that makes us rich because they are priceless.

When we keep helping other by showing charity, our reputation is affected positively which earn us respect, prestige and a good name. This can indeed connect us and give us influence which is also riches or wealth .

People naturally become close to the persons that shows them charity and perform act of love to them and this strengthens relationship. This opens up opportunities in difficult times and seasons.

The best riches a person can have are the intangible such as peace, health, joy, fulfillment and love. And when we have all these, it is regarded as riches.

Lastly, the expression of charity opens the doors for God's blessings upon our lives which includes riches and wealth.
