I don't think you can simply say, ‘What women want’... Then we're moving into clichés; they may be true in general, but when you look deeper, they don't really do anyone justice.

Furthermore, the core concerns of feminists seem to have changed over the decades. Which I support, of course: equal appreciation, equal rights (legal and informal), equal pay. Even in Germany, we are still a long way from achieving this. Nevertheless, the demands here now sound like preferential treatment. Which I strongly reject.

It is complicated to shed traditional ideas and open up to new values. Furthermore, we must always question whether these are really better for the individual and for society. We are still at the beginning of this process.

For now, I am happy when my partner clears the snow off my car in the morning so that I don't have to go out into the cold even earlier. But I appreciate it just as much when he hands me the chainsaw later because there is still wood to be cut...
