Incredible India monthly contest of October #1| My preferable Era!

Since the civilization of man, different eras have come and gone leaving a benchmark success or reputable influence onto the next one. If one is wondering what is? Then, era can be known as the definite period of time which follows a particular trend in terms of events, development, etc. From history, there are different eras ranging from the industrial era to this modern era. Out of this, I'll love to flaunt my favorite era during the course of this write-up.

My favourite era is no other than the modern era. This era has different names attached to it such as the ICT era, contemporary era, etc. It is said that this era began the inception of the 21st century and it spanned till date. The reason I love this era is the creation of a global village in terms of development in communication, medicine and other fields. I remembered when my dad told a story of his father (my grandfather). The story evolves around how they lived and communicate with each other which is in contrast to what we have now. This story will be cleared in the changes about the Modern era.

The word change can be seen in different lights whether positive or negative. So, let's see the rays of both lights.

Positive Changes

• Improved communication: As I said earlier, the modern era has changed the world into a global era. This implies that I can communicate with anyone at any location in a matter of seconds. This is unlike the delayed communication that my granny experienced in their era.
• Faster means of transportation: The creation of faster means of transportation has made the modern era an enviable one compared to other past eras. Using an aeroplane which can travel between countries in a matter of minutes or hours compared to the days used in past eras.

Negative changes

• Emergence of cyber crimes: Due to the development of the internet, some people use this as a way of getting illegally or causing harm to others. This is a misuse and also spotted as a negative change in the modern era.
• Weak link in communication: The internet space has made other people addicted to it that they depend solely on it. The addiction causes them face-to-face conversations with others which weaken links at times. It is important to note that face-to-face or physical conversations are stronger than virtual communications.

For me, I am happy with my current era in which I came to see. Reflecting back to the last era's flaws, I choose this era full heartedly. Despite the negative changes that come with this era, I guess that I can evade those attacks with proper knowledge.
