In my opinion, the criteria that should be considered when selecting individuals to serve on a selection panel are the following criteria.

• Educational Qualification: We will need to check an individual's education level before selecting the person to serve on a panel. This will help to know how educated and intelligent the person is.

• Expertise: We should select an individual who has what it takes to lead, someone with experience who has knowledge and good judgment in the panel.

• Integrity: We should consider selecting an individual who has integrity and a good track record. Someone who knows how to handle issues without bias.

• Strong communication: communication is very important, so we should look for an individual who can speak with confidence and communicate friendly with his people.

It is very significant to check the background of someone when selecting someone for anything. This is because checking the background of anyone can help reveal the person's patterns of behaviour that may not appear or be seen during interviews.

Some people talk a lot, some lie a lot, some aren't ethical in behaviors which checking the background of anyone can help reveal a lot of things about the person which can also help to know more about the person's educational background, previous work history, and so on.
