Steemit Engagement Challenge 4 || How many hours have you spend on steemit in the last week? @paulyoung

Greetings to everyone.
It is my greatest pleasure of participate in this week engagement challenge and this topic have boost my awareness about my overall engagement on steemit every week.

15 April clocked me a year old on steemit dApp. Since I joined this dApp, I’ve experienced another level of grace in learning many things just for free which includes crypto trading, blockchain knowledge and plagiarism free writing technique and making friends.

Although most of my schedule do clash with my school hours but I always fix time to check on my steemit profiles daily. Right now, I’m a student and artist as well. In order to create time for steemit, i always start my engagement early in the morning immediately after devotion.

I check my notifications first because replying comments after many hours of waiting is an act that I don’t fancy at all. After that, I’ll check pinned post on most communities that I’ve joined so that I’ll be update on necessary informations about the community.

The next step is to click the #club5050 tag on any post. This tag will link me to all the trending posts. I will take time to check each the post that interest me a lot and the activities of the community too. The last place to check is @disconnect profile. A profile that we gather all the information about active contests.

Although I hardly have time to participate but I like been updated.

Night

I always return from school in the evening. As such, night is the only time that I make a research about my post and type it too till I feel tired but before I sleep, check my steemit profile notifications again. If I see any comment, i reply immediately.

Total duration per day
Honestly, I don’t have a fix duration per day. My duration depends on my less engagement with school activities and the topic that I want to write about. However, I believe that my maximum duration is 3hrs per day on the dApp and 10hrs per week for writings and posting.

Calculating it:
3hrs X 7days = 21hrs
21hrs + 10hrs = 31hrs
This means that every week, I spent 31hrs (i.e 1day and 7hrs) on steemit.

My Opinion about the benefits of the steemit engagement challenge

The steemit engagement challenge is a nice challenge that have wake the spirit of consistency on users.

In my recent post about an origami challenge, I was able to reminisce about my childhood origami skills. Participating on crypto academy contest is another true benefit because it has been stopped for a while.

Writing post with 100% respect to plagiarism is another great benefit. Unlike centralized social media where people copy articles online without giving credit to the owner.

The steemit engagement challenge is very educative, informative and rewarding.

My suggestion to improve this challenge in next period

Taking a critical observation, community that are not selected for steemit engagement challenge have been neglect by users. This have result in low number of posts compared with when the engagement challenge didn’t exist.

This occurrence will hinder the growth of communities that are not involved so I think that this engagement should be open for every community and a certain number of entry made by participants should be made.

Another basic challenge is that many users post are not always curated. Personally, I’ve experienced this challenge. Ago, I came across a user that complaint that his two post have not been curate. He scored a nice grade yet week 1 & 2 were not curate and right now, the user is not a participant again. I felt his discouragement.

In summary to my suggestion, I think people efforts in making and entry should not be futile and every communities should be involved.
