The current economic situation of our Bangladesh is very bad. The price of everything is upward. Everything is getting out of reach. It is understandable if you go to the market. Only those who visit the market and shop regularly will understand. Today I will share details about guava market in our area.

Guava is a native fruit of our country. Guava is rich in vitamin C. When I was young, I read in a book that guava contains 10 times more vitamins than apples. So everyone was asked to eat more guavas. Earlier guavas were available in the market for 10 to 20 tk per kg. Currently guava price has gone from 90 to 100 tk per kg. Everyone is more willing to eat guava because of its high vitamin C content. Generally people now prefer to eat guava because guava is our native fruit. And nowadays people are more attracted to local fruits.

Even 10 years ago, the price of foreign fruits was higher than the domestic fruits of Bangladesh. But currently our domestic fruits are more expensive than foreign fruits. Guava is available more or less throughout the year. Now guava is cultivated throughout the year. Earlier, guavas were available only during the rainy season. But now due to the cultivation of guava throughout the year, sufficient quantity of guava is available in the market throughout the year. Barisal district is the most cultivated guava in our country. Barisal district is famous for guava cultivation.

I often go to the market. I buy guavas almost from the market. Even two months ago guava was 40 to 50 tk per kg. But now guava has become 90 to 100 tk per kg. The reason for the sudden increase in the price of guava is not understood. Everyone says that imports are low. But there are syndicates among the businessmen of our country. They suddenly raise prices by showing less imports. But there is sufficient stock of guava. We common people are the victims now. Guavas have to be eaten, so we buy guavas from the market at high prices.

Two days ago I went to the market. I went to the market and bought two kg of guavas. I bought guava at 90 tk per kg. The shopkeeper wanted 90 rupees per kg of guava. But he was not willing to reduce even one tk. Finally I had to buy guavas at 90 tk per kg.
