Self-Learning With Snow - Vocabulary # 1
Hello Champs! My name is @jonsnow1983 and today I'm going to self-educate myself, and hopefully, you'll do the same by writing this post. The method I'm going to use is pretty much simple. It consists in randomly choosing Five English words that may not be commonly used and add them to my (your) vocabulary. The key to achieve this task is repetition and association. We are going to define the words and associate them with anything you could think it might make you remind them so you can attach the new words to something in particular, hence it'd probably be easier for you my friends to remind. After it, we're going to write a short story using the words provided. Let us begin!
Impudent (adj.): Lacking respect towards someone (My Uncle)
Myriad (adj.): Describes a large number of something (Bees)
Alacrity (n.): Represents speed, quickness, eagerness (Manny Pacquiao)
Confidant (n.): An individual you fully trust (Mother)
Feral (adj.): Describes something deadly, wild (Tiger)
Now let's write up a short story using the words above
The impudent manner Jon receives by his Ex, doesn't compare to the even worse treatment he gets by his lover. Jon, that little know it all prick who always sees himself as if he was the bomb, That treacherous joker, charming piece of man has a myriad of reasons to hate them both, but having the luxury of driving those majestic curves makes him forget and even afford such horrible delights. Jon urges himself to act with alacrity, if not, there is no way to survive the roar of two feral tigers which fiercely fight not only to get Jon's attention but to bring food to their tables. Ohh poor Jon, he thinks he can get away with it, now, ironically; He cannot even trust his own confidants, there is no hope for him in this nest of serpents, pitchforks, and torches.
