They look so happy! It's good to hear numbers are increasing. Is it their habitat that's had to be protected? I can't imagine them being hunted.

Not only unsporting, but I can't imagine they'd make an appealing meal, either.

It would be but I do know monkeys and giant iguanas were hunted in Costa Rica so one can’t rule anything out it seems.

Yes numbers decreased mainly due to rainforest clearing for arable farming but thankfully that is also protected I have not heard of people hunting them so don’t know for sure that answer. I will ask some locals though.
