Prove Yourself is the best artist for the week

Today I am participating in this beautiful contest with another unique and emotional drawing. This time my sketch is predicated on a small character standing in the rain. Through this picture I've tried to expound mixed sensibilities of sadness, loneliness and relief.

What did I draw?

I've created a small simple creatural character standing under a pall and it's raining. At first it was just a simple drawing, but gradationally I added shadowing and detail. Eventually, I painted his heart red, which symbolizes that indeed in delicate situations, love and relief remain within a person.

Drawing Steps:

First I wrote my username and date on my paper.

Then I made a cloud shape.

I then drew a circle to outline the head and then the body.

Then I drew rain lines to make the scene clear.

I then did some light shading on the character's body.

Finally I darkened the cloud and used red to highlight the heart.

Time and Feelings:

This sketch held me about 45 minutes to finish. When I was forming it, I felt like I was laying my passions on paper. It's a simple sketch but it has a deep communication hidden in it, which formed me feel veritably happy and delighted.

Inspiration:

I got this idea from the rainy season. Sometimes man feels alone, but the hope and love within him makes him strong. This is the idea I have expressed through my drawing.
