Moses Great End And Reward (26/05/2026)

Moses was not only great in his works, in meekness but also great in his end and was rewarded greatly ( Deuteronomy 31). The secret behind his great accomplishment was because of the indwelling Holy Spirit in him. Today the Holy Spirit can indwell every believer. Our body is the temple of Holy Spirit (1st Corinthians 6:19). We can work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Phillipians 2:1-3), Moses was great in his life as well as his end. A backward look gives perspective to a forward look. He was forbidden to enter the land because he struck the rock instead of speaking to it. This sin was so serious because of what the rock foreshadowed Christ's intercessory ministry. Nevertheless, his end was honourable and immeasurably rewarded later, this topic is subdivided into three, namely:

(1). Farewell Message: Moses life and end was very challenging. He was gracious to give thorough admonition to Israel who were responsible for his not entering Canaan. He encouraged them to enter, he lifted up the spirit of his successor, Joshua. He advised their various categories of leaders. He later composed a song as directed by God to embrace all God's dealing with Israel in the past, present and future even when they will deviate. Lastly, he blessed them tribe by tribe. Even at his end his thoughts were good of Israel. Earlier on he had prayed for God to choose a leader for them (Numbers. 27:15-23). Most heroes of faith will always have a planned systematic end, which can be seen as a farewell message. Abraham's own was by way of settling Isaac and Ishmael. Jacob blessed his children according to what they were up to. David did the same Jesus, our master had the last supper with His apostle as farewell message, Paul gave charge to Timothy.

(2). Fearless Departure: Although God's discipline kept Moses out of Canaan, God's grace conducted him to Pisgah's top, when in the Lord's company, he was permitted to view the land. Moses has an usual birthday celebration in that on his 120th birthday, he was asked to step to the mount of Pisgah, never to return again(Deuteronomy 32:49-50). Moses was to go home alone, this demonstrates his last step of obedience, aloneness is the price to be paid for great leadership. In death we will stand alone with God, though friends may be around. This calls for why every one of must be sure of his individual relationship with God. Peter being brave in the spirit spoke of his departure. Paul spoke of his departure at hand. From Moses to others cited above from the moment they became aware of their departure, there were no sorrow, mourning, fear etc. They faced it courageously, thereby confirming the saying of the Psalmist (Psalms 116:15) and to ensure you experience this, be a Christian (John. 5:12).

(3). Faithfulness Rewarded: It was not the end of the story when Moses saw the promised land and died before the Lord and was burned by God. The disappointment of not been able to enter the land had a joyous destiny. About 1500 years later Moses appeared on the mountain of transfiguration with Elijah and Jesus, they encouraged Jesus for what He will face (Mark 9:1-4). In fact that Moses did not enter the land during his lifetime but entered later have lessons for us: firstly is that the believer's greatest rewards are future. Secondly, great men of faith look for a reward that is beyond (Hebrews. 11:39-40). Thirdly, God's reward for Moses faithful service did not come during his lifetime, but they resulted from a decision he made at the age of 40 (Hebrews 11:24-26). For the believer today, our great reward is in the future (Revelations 22:12).

Wow! Your message today about Moses is indeed inspiring. I've learned so much about Moses today through your post. I often enjoy reading this kind of article b
Because its builds and strengthens my faith in God.

Moses was indeed a man who God honoured, blessed and rewarded for all he did for Israel although he didn't enter the promise land but he went to be with God in paradise and was even transfigured to appear on earth to give guidance and wisdom to God's son and Elijah the prophet. You have done well to make me know this today and I encourage you to keep pushing the word of God. Stay blessed friend and God bless you.

Thanks a lot, u really appreciate your response to the topic.
