Hello folks, how are you all doing. so today i am sharing this particular work as my entry for the contest of "Prove yourself as the best artist of this week" this is a contest organized by @dequeen so this happens to be my last art work for january 2026.

In this work i wrote a poem for my art

A Child Is a Blessing

A child arrives like morning light
A child is a blessing
not wrapped in gold or gift boxes,
but in the design of our master creator.

In their smile lives hope,
a reminder that the world can begin again.
They teach us patience without speaking,
love without conditions,
and faith without fear.

A child is a prayer answered differently
sometimes in tears, sometimes in joy,
always in purpose.
They turn ordinary homes into sanctuaries
and simple moments into memories.

Even in hardship, a child carries light.
They bloom where strength is tested,
they rise where dreams feel tired.
Their innocence challenges us to do better,
their questions wake our sleeping hearts.

A child is not just born into a family,
they are planted into the future.
A seed with a purpose,
A seed of change,
a promise that life continues,
generations to generations,
that love still believes.

To hold a child
is to hold hope breathing.
To raise one
is to touch eternity.

This was my first stage of crafting the framework of my drawing, i did a sketch to give a guirde to my work so that i could be able to add shades, texture and value to my art. this is one of the easiest stage of created a piece of art, it doesnt required much work, just you your pencils and faint lines on paper.

I started adding some shade to the eyes, the eye is an integral part of my piece becaause the eye is like the window to the soul.

i started adding some shades on the hair, this was one of my challenging stage, because it took me so much time to get the thickness i needed.
