Titled: Tomorrow
Tomorrow always sounds patient.
It sits quietly in our plans,
waiting at the edge of every excuse.
We tell ourselves there is time,
time to start,
time to fix things,
time to become who we said we would be.
But tomorrow has never promised to come.
They say Nostradamus saw the future,
but not even a prophet
can guarantee tomorrow.
Many dreams have slept too long
inside the word “later”.
Many chances slept away
while someone whispered,
“I will do it tomorrow.”
this has closed sk many doors,
and tomorrow never came.
Work that could be finished today
should not be left for another day
we have never seen before.
Life moves without asking
if we are ready.
It rewards the hands that move,
not the ones that keep waiting.
Do what you can while the day is bright.
Say what you feel while voices are strong.
Laugh while the moment is still alive.
Enjoy the food,
the road,
the small talks,
the simple breath in your chest.
Think less about perfect timing.
Think less about what may go wrong.
Tomorrow is not promised,
it is only a hope.
Live so that if tomorrow comes,
you welcome it with peace.
And if it does not,
today was not wasted.
process
My first process was to make a random sketch of my subject, most times I do a lot of inaginary works like this.

I added some shades and highlights to the face of my subject, the reason why I do this is because it will serve as a guide when applying my colors, because the face comes with different shades and patterns, if you know how to bring it out your drawing will have a 3d view and not a 2D view, but when you don’t understand this process you work will most times look flat.

I began to add my crayon color to the cap of my subject

This was where I started added colors the the main part of the face

Final piece
I was able to achieve this work with a shading technique called hatching and blurring, hatching are just straight diagonal lines and while blurring involves you smoothening the surface of you subject after applying your mediums such as charcoal or crayon etc.

Thanks peace for your kind words, have a wonderful day.
You are welcome
Wow, this is a really great drawing. The shading and blending are so smooth that the face looks completely 3D. The shading on the eyes and face in particular is beautifully done. Your hard work is clearly visible. Keep up the good work, you are a truly talented artist. 👏
Thank you so much princess, it’s been a while hope you are doing fine??
