SFS Contest Picture of the Day Week 21

I was very delighted to finally meet my steemian friends, I took couple of pictures with them. This steemians meetup is what was arranged some months ago and it finally came to play. This was a very special day for me because I got to meet my steemit friends and mentor, I was also able to meet my mentors and receive a gift as well, the event was just very promising.

When we arrived at the venue, we greeted our fellow steemians and had a quick talk with them. Since the weather was favorable we moved out to take pictures, the sun was just focused on us like a studio light, not too bright but just calm. We took much more than we expected as the event was to kick off in no time.

I took a picture showing my username, it was already a special day for me because i got to meet friends. The event kicked off and we all made a quick introduction of ourselves, telling our usernames which made me see many friends I used to engage with in a comment section.

Talks were given that day about steemit and questions were answered, I will admit that I learnt a lot from that session. It was very interactive which made the hangout fun.

I saw boxes of gifts brought out to the stage and I was feeling happy for the people that will receive them. I was taking pictures of almost everything that took place in the event. The list of people to receive gifts was brought in as they were called accordingly to pick up their gifts and unbox it there. It was a special moment, many people got their portraits, watches, and other gifts which was a surprise to them.

I didn't know my special moment was just held by time, while snapping and congratulating others, my name was called to pickup the gift. I stood out there unboxed my gift and I found a very nice pair of sneakers.

I thought I will just come to the event, get lessons, meet steemians and go, I didn't know the day had something special for me, It was just not expected. Most special moments are not know till it comes.
