About drawing good curves, I did technical drawing and engineering drawing. We used French curves to get close to perfect curves, but without a French curve or flexible ruler, we made use of a flexible broomstick. We had to bend it such that it connects a minimum of 3 points along the path of the curve, then draw along the curvature of the broom to get a realistically good curve.

A closer look at the picture should give you a better idea of what I am explaining.

Yup I did technical drawing in my first year in senior high school. The subject isn't an easy one at all. One need to be very focused to make neat works on A4 papers.

I remember those days when I was always taking A4 papers from my dad on Fridays before going to school. Is a nice subject too but I didn't continue it in my second year since I wasn't an engineering student.

I get your point entirely, my mission was to make a freehand sketch drawing, I didn't want to use anything other than my pencil and eraser. Thanks alot for your contribution.
