SFS Contest: New Year Celebrations Plans

It's another day to share my entry in the contest organised here in this community by @ashkhan which talks about New Year Celebrations Plans. Every year we make plans as to how we intend to celebrate the new year and this year celebration is not an exception.

This time I'm delighted to share my celebration plans through writing in this amazing community based on the organised contest. I will want to write briefly following the tips shared in the contest. So read till the end and see my new year celebration plans.

What do you think about new year celebrations? Is it necessary to celebrate?

---

Celebrating the new year is very necessary, I say this because we all have the privilege to see yet another year. The journey of 365 days is not an easy one and anyone that sees himself or herself to the end should have a reason to celebrate.

During the journey we saw a lot of persons who became sick others had accident whereas others died at the process but we were able to see the end of the year which means the year didn't see our end.

In the just concluded year, I lost 3 people who are dear to my heart to the cold hands of death and this means I may never see them again in this world. So being alive despite the ups and downs is a testimony to me and I'm grateful to God for that.

My life is a testimony and I'm delighted to celebrate it. Seeing a new year is something of joy because I'm living by the grace of God despite my unworthiness. So since I know I'm not worthy yet God kept me safe it is natural that I appreciate God for that act and this is why celebrating the new year is very important.

Everyone who sees the new year should celebrate it by appreciating God and also putting a smile on the faces of others. So this is my main reason for celebrating the new year.

What are your plans for new year celebrations?

In thanksgiving to God for giving me the grace to see yet another year, I intend to go to church on the cross over night and on the first day of the year 2025. My going to church is to join others who will be coming to show their appreciation to God and do same.

I will also present a token of my Thanksgiving to the church and ask brethren to pray with me as well. In all, I will want to share my joy and happiness with others in the church in appreciation for the good things the Lord has done in my life throughout the previous year.

Aside from that, I intend also to put a smile on the faces of others and I intend to do that by making provision to the less privileged in my community. My plans in this new year is to have a day set aside where I will get little foodstuffs and then share it with them so that everyone can as well eat to his or her satisfaction.

I want to put a smile on the faces of those who in one way or the other have lost hope in this life and also those that think that everything is not working in their favour. A little hope I guess will keep them going and that is the goal I have this year.

Share any previous new year celebrations pictures and story.

One of the previous new year celebration I had that I consider memorable is the celebration we had in the community where I stay. It is always the custom and tradition of the community to organise a dance for its people every year and this dancing is open for everyone.

So in the previous year I was privilege to witness the dance for the second time. It was a gathering where music is being played and as many who are interested in the dance will come in and dance. Since I'm not too good at dancing I just stood by the side and then watched.

While watching I took pictures and also made videos of those dancing because I'm confident that some day I will go through it again and smile because of how fun the program is. I'm delighted I took those pictures because today in this contest I'm gladly sharing it with you all as well.

Every year this dance is hosted in this community and I believe this year is not going to be an exception. So just like every year, I will still take pictures and possibly make videos and also share it with you all so as to see this year's celebration 🎉.
