My outfit for this week is definitely this one in this picture. When I found it, a stranger literally gave me the idea on how to put the whole look together and when it clicked in my mind, I absolutely loved it and then I got it. She suggested i either paired it with a shirt or a turtleneck top. I decided to go with the turtleneck because it creates a sleek silhouette on my body and pairs nicely with the slip dress. I wanted to look confident, fresh and comfortable without doing too much.

I like this outfit because it’s a simple and minimalist outfit that is both elegant and comfortable to wear. It is effortlessly chic and blends perfectly with my body type. The black long sleeved turtleneck gives a beautiful contrast against the light blue slip dress. The light blue color of the dress gives the feel of freshness and softness to the whole look. The blues dress falls just below the knees and has a slit that stops just by the side of the hips and a cute big button that stops the slit.
This outfit is accompanied by a black heeled slide that elevates the look and also maintains the simplicity of the whole look.
If cool, calm and collected were to be an outfit; I think this will be it.

I got this outfit from a local market in my area. It’s called “Urua Itam” and it’s this big market where you could quite literally find anything especially thrift wear. On the market days, you would have to go as early as 7:00 am if you wanted to get the best quality of products you’re looking for.
This market is located at Uyo in Akwa Ibom state, Nigeria. It is always filled to the brim with both buyers and sellers moving all over the place. You could get foodstuffs, clothes, shoes, home appliances, local medicine and household items at a more affordable price on this market day.

This is a thrift wear believe it or not and it’s one of the benefits of attending this market. I got the gown for as low as #2000 which is — 28 in STEEM currency and the turtleneck for #2000 — 28.5. Steems
The shoes were a gift from my dear friend and I just knew it would pair so well with the rest of my outfit. I have always had my watch, bracelet and earrings though. So in total, I spent just #4000 on this outfit this week. Do you have a thrift store in your area?
