Prove yourself as the best artist for the week

Ladies and gents, welcome to my blog if this is your first time.

Today, I'm using this nice piece of artwork as an entry for the contest organized by @dequeen. [Prove Yourself as the best artist for the week].

Steps	•

I started the drawing with an oval shaped sketch of the head like I always do in other artworks.
I didn't use pencil to do the sketch, just pen. Because of that, I need to be very careful so I don't make mistakes. Although I did😅😂.

After doing the head, I did a sketch of the ears first. Then I sketch the part for the hair and other parts of the art.
The sketching always have most of the work.
I had to make a replica of the image that was sent to me.

This person doesn't like being disappointed. She asked me to draw this about a week ago, and just yesterday, she reminded me of it. I add to deliver it quick but perfect.

After the sketches, I started shading. Shading for far people do not require much work, unlike dark skin people. But for the clothing, there's definitely going to be a lot of work.
Check out the patterns on the clothing, different textures and colours.

I did the shading for the clothes, some few mistakes but we'll pass that.
Then I went on to shade the face, beginning with the eyes.
The eyes gives clarity always. If the eyes are not the same as the reference Image, forget the art and start all over.

I finished the shading of the face , then I sketched and shaded the hair with details.
This didn't take much time, and I was done.

I did all the blending, highlights and detailing, the wrote my username and her name on her clothing.
