Drawing of a Dragon

Greetings, dear friends and steemians. How are you today? I believe you are all fine as I am. Today, in this beautiful community called "Steem for drawing", I want to present to you the step-by-step drawing of a dragon using a pencil.

A dragon is a monster or a huge mythical creature whose head is similar to that of a snake or a lizard. It has wings which enable it to fly. It has a big tail and breathes fire through its mouth. This creature symbolises power, fortune and strength. It is very intelligent and smart. Lastly, we have different types of dragons and they reproduce by laying eggs.

Materials for the drawing

• Plain white paper
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Razor blade
• Cotton wool

Step 1
I began by writing my name and date on the paper, and then I drew the head of the dragon. On the head of the dragon, I drew the mouth, the nostril, the eye, the horn and the neck.

Step 2
In this step, I drew the chest, the belly the hind legs and the tail.

Step 3
I drew the forelegs and the left wing which has four claws

Step 4
I drew the right wing which also has four claws

Step 5
Here, I began shading the dragon. I first designed the scale on the right wing and then shaded it.

Step 6
I drew the scale on the left wing and shaded it appropriately.

step 7
I drew the scale on the head, the belly, and on all parts of the body, and then shaded it, which brought me to the end of my drawing.
