You have to find a case study like I have shared, then confirm the diagnosis of the disease, and then add 3 to 4 causes.

Case Study:

A 38-year-old school teacher presented a history of pain in his right heel, which was most noticeable when he walked a few steps in the morning, but gradually subsided when he walked for a few minutes. However, since he was a teacher, the pain reappeared when he had to stand for long periods during teaching. In addition, he used flat sandals and, without proper footwear, sometimes felt pain when he walked. However, this pain increased towards the end of the day, sometimes radiating to the arch of his foot.

Diagnosis:

After taking a complete history and performing a physical examination of a 38-year-old teacher, we confirmed that he is suffering from plantar fasciitis, which is a thick band of tissue that connects the heel bone to the toes. Furthermore, he experiences pain when he takes a few steps in the morning or feels tenderness in the middle of his heel. Furthermore, he experiences pain when he stands for long periods of time. All these are characteristics of plantar fasciitis, so the teacher is suffering from plantar fasciitis.

Causes:

  • The main reason for plantar fasciitis in these teacher patients is that they stand and teach for a long time, due to which causes their feet to be stressed due to constant pressure from standing for a long time, due in which causes the tissues that support their arches becoming inflamed. Due to repeated stress without enough rest, the tissues lose their elasticity, which results in pain in their heels.
  • Another major reason for their suffering from this disease is that they used flat sandals and could not wear proper shoes, which caused them pain in the right places and increased tension on their plantar fascia. Due to constant tension, there was also irritation and inflammation, especially in the heel area where the fascia connected to the bone.
  • The patient has also informed us about a sudden increase in physical activity, such as running or exercising without warming up. Such a sudden change puts excessive pressure on the plantar fascia, which causes the tissue to become subject to movement, which is why this condition is common.
  • Their calf muscles play a major role in worsening plantar fasciitis, in which, when those muscles are tight, the ankle's ability to rotate upward is greatly reduced, which places significant stress on the plantar fascia during walking and standing.
You have to share symptoms of your patient history and confirm the diagnoses of the given case study.

Symptoms From Patient History:

  • The patient feels pain in the heel and arch of the foot, especially in the morning or when they walk after resting.
  • This pain subsides after walking for a while, but then when you have to stand or walk for a longer period of time, the pain becomes noticeable again.
  • Pain Or Tenderness is felt on the medial heel when this area is pressed.
  • Due to overworking, they experience mild swelling or a burning sensation in their heels, usually when they stand for long periods of time.
  • They experience further changes in their gait as they avoid pressure on this heel.

Diagnosis Confirmation:

After physically examining the patient, we have come across some findings that confirm that the patient has plantar fasciitis, which are as follows:

  • The patient felt more severe pain when pressing on the inner part of the affected heel bone. This tenderness indicates inflammation of the plantar fascia.
  • Due to the tightness of the calf muscles, the patient could not fully flex his ankle, which placed significant stress on the plantar fascia.
  • When we lifted the patient's toes upward, the patient started to feel pain in the heel again. This is a positive windlass test, which confirms tension and tightness in the plantar fascia.
  • When the patient was gently stretched or when he stood up after resting, he felt significantly less pain. This supports a diagnosis of improvement, but since plantar fasciitis pain usually subsides in this way.

So, taking all these things into account, we are confirming that the patient is suffering from Plantar Fasciitis.

You have to find the best protocol for plantar fasciitis and then perform the exercises of your specific task. It would be better to perform the exercises and share videos or pictures while performing, and then review after getting treatment.

In such a situation, the patient needs some protocols that can help them feel better. There are a few exercises that I am performing to show how we can get rid of plantar fasciitis.

Towel Scrunch Exercise:

To do this exercise, we have to take a towel, lay it flat on the ground, then pull it towards us with the help of our toes, keeping the heel down and pulling it with our toes. This is how we will complete this exercise.

Marble Pick-Up Exercise:

To do this exercise, we have to place some stones or small objects on the floor and pick them up with our fingers, and put them in another container.

Tennis Ball Exercise:

The way to do the tennis ball exercise is that we have to sit on a chair and place our feet flat on the floor. We have to place the tennis ball under the arch of one foot and take it from the heel of our foot to the toes, and apply light pressure that is not too painful.

These are three types of exercises, all of which I have performed. The purpose of performing these three exercises is to strengthen the muscles of our feet and make them more flexible, so that the flexibility of our feet improves. These are especially beneficial for conditions like plantar fasciitis. They are performed to increase foot control and improve blood circulation. With their help, we can greatly reduce heel pain and stiffness while increasing the overall stability of the foot.

I have performed these exercises, based on which I have felt a lot of improvement in my feet because my feet have become much more relaxed, and there is a slight muscle spasm, which is a sign that our exercises have gone perfectly. So I will perform these exercises and also recommend them to other people, especially those who are going through plantar fasciitis. This will improve your feet and you will be able to walk in a few days easily without any pain.

I want to invite my friends @bossj23, @kouba01, and @saliana01 to join this challenge.

Task 1 (2.25/2.5)You have shared a great knowledge about the case study, sharing the diagnosis and causes of the disease. But it would be better if you select any other disease to share all these things. I am glad that you shared your great knowledge.
Task 2 (1.25/1.5)You shared the right symptoms of patient that lead to final diagnosis of plantar fasciitis, you also perform few tests to confirm the diagnosis but it would be better to share a x-ray or something like that, that confirm the diagnosis other than special tests.
Task 3 (5.75/6)You have chose the good exercises to reduce the plantar fasciitis pain, also improve muscle function but you forget the most important and main exercise for plantar fasciitis patient that is icing or rolling foot on ice ball to reduce swelling. I appreciate your efforts. Best of luck.
